Hotel venue is fantastic with the free room upgraded to have sea view room. With the recent Gurney bay park in front of the hotel, which good for exercises.

great experience staying at the gurney bay hotel! the room was clean and spacious, while the staff were very friendly and helpful. we really enjoyed our stay there.

I am 100% okay with the hotel. However the lady that’s attending the transportation counter is a liar. I requested an innova to fit my family and our luggages. She said yes, took our payment and came with an aruz. Which we can book by grab at a fraction of the price. Currently in the car w her and fuming w anger. My parents had to take a separate cab. If we knew we would’ve just booked 2 grabs! She is charging rm 85 for an aruz when in grab its just rm 40. So please do not use her services! What a liar. Say got Innova but come w an Aruz. Ridiculous

No USB, not enough power sockets, and power sockets are located not convenient. Hotel is old, it doesn't matter, but need to repair & clean it up well

The hotel is a bit old and, in my experience, not very clean, although many reviews mention otherwise. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around, and there’s a park nearby where kids can have fun. The price is also more affordable compared to other hotels in the area. However, parking is quite limited, so you may want to reconsider driving there. As for breakfast, the food is decent, but there’s only one chef handling everything, so expect some waiting time.

Location of the hotel was great... there are lots of places to eat in the surrounding area ... rooms are clean but a bit old .... service could be better ... one of the night, the hotel parking for guest was full due to a function ... there was no one in the car park to guide the hotel guest as to where we could park the car ...

The hotel service was good. Room is big and clean. But the body lotion has short expiry date on Mar 2015. The hotel should consider providing longer expiry date for the guest.

It's located very near to the sea and gurney park, hence easy to make a soft walk for us there. Hotel room which we booked is quite spacious and pleased to see the sea view every day. Housekeeping is quite good and bellman too. But receptionists are seemed to be unforthcoming per my perspective point of view, the rest are very best and likely to visit there again.

Stayed 2N at Gurney Bay to explore Gurney area. Location wise, it is walking distance (1km) to the malls and close to the Sleeping Buddha Temple (800m). However, under the hot sun with little shade along the route, it is better to take Grab around. If you want to explore the Central area of Georgetown, it is far. The lobby is grand like a 5☆ hotel, amenities are good and the room is big. However, the furniture and fittings look rather dated, IMO, they need some refurbishment. The water pressure of the shower could be higher. The bed and pillows have good support. Overall cleanliness is very good. The cafe's breakfast spread offers a mix of local and international, more on the local side, which is good. The Char Kuay Teow and Roti Canai are particularly very good. Also, it offered Teh Tarik. We also had a 3-course set lunch, and it was nice, too. Service wise, the front desk staff is polite, and the concerige is courteous when responding to enquiries. But I would say we don't feel the warmth that I experienced in most 5☆ hotels, even some 4☆ hotels. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Hotel location is great! Just near the beach, shopping mall and food courts. Rooms are big and clean and staff was friendy.

Nice location for this very good room rate without tip top room condition but still very good. Lots of food choices near this hotel

Formerly known as Evergreen Laurel Hotel. Old 4 or 5 stars hotel under Parkroyal partner group. Hotel was well maintained. Just facing newly opened Gurney Bay park. Room was clean and well maintained. But it is time to upgrade. Breakfast spread was okay. Just checked in process was so damn slow. I counted it took about 10-12 min just to check in each person. My suggestion…for online booking..the front counter should pre registered all before the customer arrived. It just a waste of time for each customer register one by one at the counter. Please speed up tje process

After parkroyal take over this evergreen laurel hotel their breakfast become more more best😋😋😋. right in front of the hotel we can go straight to the new park near the seaside and at night time is the best view you can get and chill with your family
