A'la Grand Residence

Arrived at Al A Grande Residence and weren’t able to check in as apartment still needed to be finished cleaning so we wandered round the complex to check out the pools and then visited local restaurant for a bite to eat. Once inside we were happy with the space and size with two bathrooms and huge bed and balcony overlooking the pool. However we were missing a few kitchen items such as a mug for coffee and a pan for cooking. The staff were able to rectify the pan and hubby bought some mugs from local market so we solved that issue straight up. Each apartment block has its own swimming pool (4 in total) which are long pools great for doing lengths. They are a bit tired looking though and the back pool was half empty with many weeds growing round it - sadly neglected so this put a bit of a damper on our first impression of the Residence overall. Still we have enjoyed the air conditioning in both lounge and bedroom and the proximity to Gumbet main shops and while surrounded by hotels with loud music playing we found the apartment in A block to be very quiet and relaxing.
