We booked the highest priced room and received the lowest priced room. The excuse was: “our policy is that we don’t guarantee the room booked for 3rd party Party bookings. We don’t give refunds, talk to your booking agent.” So much for prepaid no recourse bookings.
Hilton was no help in making this right on the spot. We will see when there’s time to contest the bait & switch. Trip.com was good about offering a partial refund of the difference in cost. However, they want your bank account information to send the refund. I don’t know about you, but I am not willing to send complete banking information to someone in Singapore. So I agreed to trip coins. A sour note to an otherwise great family visit.
