From the get-go, when only one of us was allowed in the office, things felt slightly off. We hadn't realized reserving a king bed also placed a large hot tub for two in the living area; we would have preferred a couch. But as I've often said "All I want is a bed, a bathroom, and a TV" in a travelling motel. But I want a bed that's dark and quiet, a functional bathroom, and a TV I can understand. The bed itself was fine; its placement next to the air conditioner/jet turbine was a bit of a problem. The fan seemed stuck on High, and roared throughout the night. The pillows were wafer-thin but worked if you bunched them up. And a strange white light from the TV beamed directly onto my head. There was a lot of tossing and turning that night. We tried to watch the TV before going to bed; we gave up. It seemed to have 837 random channels, and I lost patience after scrolling through about 268 of them. How hard is it to print a list that says "CBC: ch 222, CTV:223, GLO: 224, etc. ? Or even "Sports - 433 to 476" or something. But who needs the TV when we have the internet? I always bring a C-to-HDMI cable with me, and figure we can pull up a movie to stream. So we logged into their wifi with our phones and our iPads, and waited to check our email and social media and whatnot, and what....? "No internet"? Log on and off a few times each, same thing. "Welcome to the Knights Inn wifi. No Internet connection". So it was "nofi" for us. The bathroom was small, but clean. My only concern was the tub floor was very slippery and there was no interior bath mat, but there was a very sturdy grab bar built into the wall, and I felt quite secure holding it.
