Pompano Beach Club

We have been staying at Pompano every trip to Bermuda for over a decade. The staff is fantastic! The food is very good. The accommodations are on point for us; rooms with great views, just the right balance between informal and casual service. The Lambs and their staff provide an excellent experience. We cannot recommend them enough.

The setting of this hotel is amazing. The staff is incredible. The food and drinks were delicious. The ocean is multishades of beautiful blues and greens. It’s so nice to be pampered for 5 days! The only negative is that it is so sad that you have to eventually go home.

This is probably our 7th time staying at Pompano and we would not stay anywhere else. Great rooms, great food and super friendly staff. Even the other guests are very friendly and you make new friends every day. The owners are very much hands on and keep the place humming like a clock.

The resort is beautiful. The beach is very nice, the meal plan is good and the pool area is functional. There are 2 reasons for the 4 stars......the place needs a slight makeover. Lastly, the restaurant pre cooks dinner in order to turn tables, so every dinner is 1 hour at most. This is not how we usually eat and our last night I got fried calamari literally 3 minutes after ordering and my wife and I ordered medium well and medium rare tenderloin and both got medium. I think for Bermuda it is a good deal, but when paying 800 a night w taxes and service charges, you should not be rushed at dinner. The people here are the nicest and most service oriented we have ever seen.....the owners take their responsibility seriously and it is a friendly place to stay. With just a few tweaks it would be 5 stars, no doubt. We would stay again if we decided to return to Bermuda.......

I can’t say enough amazing things about Pompano Beach Club. The location is absolutely perfect. You are on top of the most crystal clear waters and see the most amazing aqua, teal, and blue water. The beach at low tide is walkable for what seems like forever. There are NO waves and you can truly, truly relax. They have wonderful rafts that I would just float around on out on an empty and calm sea for hours. The sunsets are perfection. Kyro at the beach bar is the absolute best- a super kind young guy who makes sure everything is just right. The owners and the rest of the staff are absolutely lovely as well, from those providing food and drink service, to behind the front desk, the chefs and more! The meal plan is amazing- breakfast and dinner included. The dinners were impressively good for what you are paying- it really is a 5 course meal. One restaurant has a set menu and the other changes nightly. They are super smart and switch up breakfast between table service and buffet service, keeping it from getting boring. Monday night swizzle party and bbq was so fun and yummy! You pay your own way if you want lunch and drinks, but prices were reasonable. They charge everything to your room (no need for a wallet at the hotel) and add a gratuity, and our final bill was way way less than we anticipated! Like, impressively so. The bartenders pour a heavy drink and you definitely get your money’s worth. They have free a shuttle to a few common locations or they can call you a cab. They can also connect you with a super reliable transport company to/from the airport (CEO). The hotel guests are predominantly older folx and just a handful of families. But this makes it perfect as the beach isn’t crowded and overrun with an endless spread of chairs and umbrellas. It’s quiet and serene. The online pictures are really what it looks like! The only (and I do mean only) downside is that there isn’t music throughout the resort. Not even at dinner or breakfast. Just a little lobby and dining area music would make it total perfection. But everything else is perfect and so this really is not a complaint. The deluxe room was so worth it for the spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets. I spent more time out there than in the room. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a calm, quiet paradise with plenty of food and great hospitality. If you’re young and want lively parties and dance clubs, come back in 10 years! We celebrated a 40th birthday and it was the absolute best location for the occasion.

We love the Pompano and this was the seventh time we have stayed. All the staff – and I won’t mention names for fear of unfairly missing someone - were excellent as usual and worked hard to make sure our stay was the best possible. This year, with older children, we had adjoining rooms; they were lovely, big, clean, extremely comfortable beds, and a perfect arrangement for us. The food is always excellent at the hotel and I gained 4 Kg in ten days, which will now take months to lose. I highly recommend Pompano Beach Club to anyone looking to stay in Bermuda, and we look forward to may future visits.

The resort is older, but well built into the cliff. There are so many stairs everywhere, as the rooms are on one level, the lobby bar another, the dinning and pool yet another, then a level for hot tubs and another flight down to the beach. The beach was private to the resort and one of the best I've seen. There was crystal clear water you could walk out into for at least a quarter mile on soft, light sand. The resort had plenty of chairs and umbrellas, beach towels and staff. Some equipment like snorkel and paddle boards were extra. The meal plan was optional, but as the resort is down a long private road and has 3 restaurants, it doesn't make sense not to include it, the price was nominal and the food better than average. Breakfast and dinner were included and each had multiple courses. There were "cookout" nights where the dinner was more buffet-style but the food was still very good, with crab legs, lobster, sushi and your steak cooked to order. A friend and I stayed just over a week at Pompano, it was our first time in Bermuda and we both want to go back. The first weekend we were there most guests seemed to have been returning for their 15th or 20th year to his resort and we too soon felt part of the familiar crowd, seeing most guests and staff at least twice a day. Another guest remarked it was like the summer camp in Dirty Dancing and I understand the comparison. I felt comfortable in sun dresses nightly, but did notice some younger people not considering that beach or athletic wear wasn't really the best choice for a formal dinner seating. Each night had a light entertainment theme (DJ, singer songwriter, Karoake, etc.) but honestly we were satisfied with all day beach, golfing next door at Port Royal where resort guests get a discount, and rare trips to town (the staff will drive you to the bus stop). I can see how people with kids who aren't interested in the beach, can't do stairs, or don't appreciate a scrabble game after dark might not consider this an exciting choice, but it was an actually relaxing vacation. The spa was annoyingly close to the game room (with ping-pong!) so I'd go elsewhere for a massage or treatment but otherwise would be happy hanging out on site.

We returned about three weeks ago from another lovely visit to Pompano. The unbelievable ocean views just can't be beat. Most of the staff are always extremely nice and helpful. Starting with CC who greets you as you get out of the cab and takes care of your bags, Tom and Larry Lamb who are always around and the restaurant staff Greg, Mike, George, Rodel, Ilene, and Shirley just to name a few. Wonderful beach and good food. We already made reservations for our return next summer.
