By far, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. On our second night, we woke up around 2:30 am to a couple of huge cockroaches on the ceiling. We managed to knock Them to the floor and kill them with a shoe. We reported this to the receptionist that morning and she apologized for the inconvenience. No attempt was made by the staff or management to give us another room Nor was the room checked during the day or even cleaned. The same morning, my sister, niece and I went to breakfast provided by the hotel. There were flies in the breakfast area and flying around the tables as we were trying to eat. Although we requested house cleaning, the rooms were not cleaned or refreshed; we only received new towels and washcloths. We reached out to the hotel manager and the regional manager who referred us back to the hotel manager. They have not reached out to apologize for the inconvenience or anything. Please note, I do not want a free night's stay at any Springhill Suite in the U..S.A. I simply want individuals to be aware of this experience if considering a stay at this hotel. We did not take pictures of the cockroaches probably because we could not believe our eyes at 2:30 AM, so taking pictures was the last thing on our mind. We did manage, however, to capture the flies.

Cleanliness is not a priority. I think there’s mold in the bathroom. I’m appalled that this hotel is bearing the Marriott name. It’s usually a safe choice for me to go on the Marriott app & pick a hotel. This time I’m highly disappointed. This is my first & last time at this poorly maintained property.

Air conditioning in lobby was basically non-existent in the middle of a heat wave with oppressive humidity. AC in the room was just as bad, had to set the unit under the window to 66 and have the fan on high and it did cool the room. No housekeeping during the stay, bed was so soft and had no support. Very uncomfortable to to temp and bedding. Breakfast was ok. They only had nut milk out at breakfast. No real milk. I'll be choosing a different hotel on my next trip to the area. I have over 1000 nights at Marriot hotels and this was one of the worst.

I stayed in room 522. The hotel is a little outdated, but it is still not bad. The service was outstanding. The only down points are that the AC unit rattled a little too loud for me, and the tub had a massive crack in the tile against the wall, filled in with caulking, some was missing; take care not to cut your arm when in the shower. The room was very clean, bedding was very comfortable. You were made to feel like a welcome guest. (The walls a little thin; a couple next door was deffently having a good time)

This hotel is Poorly maintained and in need of renovation.certainly not worth a three rating. Stains on carpets and furniture. No water bottles at front desk. Three day was told Same excuse that it was on order and would be there tomorrow. Pool closed indefinitely too.

I chose the property for the proximity to an event I was attending in Hampton. I arrived at almost 7pm and was told the room they wanted to assign me on a high floor (5th) was not ready yet. I asked wasn't check in a 4pm? She said yes but that things were busy because the hotel was full the night before. Ok, not a big deal. I asked was there a room ready on a different floor to which she told me yes. So I go to my room on the 3rd floor and when I opened the door I was hit with a mix of smells of cleaner and a dog. I'm highly allergic to dogs. Also, the room while it "smelled" of cleaner, actually was not very clean. There were visible hand prints on the telephone reciever, hair on the floor and in the bathroom on the toilet and sink. There was also chocolate (or at least I hoped it was chocolate on the curtain which I only noticed because when I attempted to pull it closed the curtian had about an inch gap where it wouldn't stay closed without me using a hair clip to keep it together. Where I went to clip it is where there was chocolate on the inside of the curtain. Also there was no remote in the room and I looked to see if it were stuck behind the TV. To my surprise it was not there. But there WAS a dog bone on the floor behind the TV. Again back to my cleanliness issue with the room. The final straw was that one of the blankets on the beds had visible stains on it. So knew that I would need to clean the room to be able to stay in there. I went to Marshall's and Walmart to get cleaning supplies and alternative linens and went to work cleaning my room. I cleaned everything top to bottom including the bathroom floors and the towel I used was completely covered in dirt once I was finished. The tub had dirt in it and hair. Also the couch in the lounge area had tons of stains and marks on it. That they should replace. I did not sit on it because I was not confident I could get it clean enough for use without putting down a blanket barrier. I did tell the front desk attendant about my issues and she said she would but a note in the system and I thought that meant taking something off my room. It did not. She was the same person I dealt with when I checked out. The walls are super thin and you can hear conversations a couple rooms over. So then there's that. I did ask for a late checkout as a Titanium Marriott member they granted me that. However, I decided to leave super early on my day of checkout because I just wanted to get back home. The proximity to the highway and stores is excellent. The property itself could use an entire refresh. The staff were very friendly.

One of the best designed hotels I have ever stayed at. The bathroom/kitchen area/closet are positioned between the rooms providing excellent sound insulation. My daughter loved the trundle bed; once nice design was the luggage rack over the heating/cooling unit. And you can open the window for fresh air. Excellent hotel.

I am posting this review after waiting for months and never hearing back after a promised follow-up following a substandard experience (to put it mildly) at this location. I stayed here in March 28, 2023. Putting aside the room wasn’t ready for a late evening check-in, the digital key was never delivered through the app, either. When I arrived, there were police galore in the parking lot and inside the lobby area, with random groups of people just hanging about, watching the show. Apparently, there had been a disturbance of some sort and people were being kicked out of the hotel. Now, the hotel cannot necessarily help who comes there and acts out. But the front desk person said she didn’t know what was going on and had walked into that mess, as well (my words, not hers), and bless her heart, she tried her best to get me checked in and away from all the chaos. What it meant was taking the stairs several times because the elevators were all tied up with the chaos. The stairwell was gross in that the railings were sticky and dirty and the entire thing smelled. The room was dirty as if it had never seen a cleaning product and had just had bedding turned over. Burn marks on the counters, old, outdated and badly stained furniture, broken lamp shades. Comfort Inn and Motel 6 probably do better. I had to wipe the entire room with cleaners I went and purchased. The HVAC unit sounded like it was going to die any second. And worst of all, the room reeked of cigarette smoke in a nonsmoking hotel. The next morning, I let the front desk know of some of the issues, most notably the smoke. I was discreet so as not to make a scene or alarm others conducting business. To my surprise, the staff member responded by apologizing and then informing me that she had submitted a note to the (I believe) general manager with a request that I be comped points for the inconvenience. Now, I saw “surprised” because since COVID, I have found the one or two times I have had to deal with Marriott on a customer service level, Marriott’s customer service has been disappointing, unless it is something the corporate offices are willing to handle themselves. Disappointingly, and as expected, it is now the middle of July nearly four months later, and I have heard from no one. It’s rather disappointing. Anyway, recent reviews seem to suggest there are some challenges currently with the location. I hope these are reflective of growing pains and a phase of transition, and the location is able to pull things together and do right by it’s guests soon.
