This is a very lovely modern and peaceful B&B only 10 mins walk from the centre of Hathersage. It has beautiful views from the conservatory of the rolling hills and lots of trees. The colours of autumn were especially beautiful. There is room to park - although it can take a bit of manoeuvring to turn around when leaving. The room was compact but very modern and have all you need including tea, coffee and fresh milk in a small fridge. Ours had a garden view. Jo is a very kind, thoughtful and attentive host. Homemade on arrival/ later in the day. The breakfasts are superb - we recommend trying the overnight oats. Then you can chose items from an English breakfast list or a breakfast ‘special’ I had avocado and poached egg on toast with bacon and chilli jam the first morning. Then there is fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and toast. It really is a wonderful B&B.

Having booked after reading some previous reviews felt confident all would be good - mistake - I arrived having asked about accessibility enquired about any steps only 3 I was told, NO exceptionally deep steps to get up to door, was shown my room dull, dark and certainly not what I expected for the price, various things not replaced after previous occupancy and certainly room and drawers not checked, as I found used tissue on opening!!, Originally had booked for 3 nights but thankfully after receiving phone call I stayed just 1 night.Didn’t expect dogs and cat to be allowed in Dining room not very hygienic.Excessively overcharged for this type of B/B.
