It is a mixture of excellent and terrible. Rooms are excellent, spacious, nicely furnished, silent, well lit and equipped, very good. Beds are big and comfy. There is a huge reading chair in each room. Warm meals are tasty, provide interesting new flavors, a clear recommendation. Beautiful and well-kept landscaping, perfect to enjoy the outside or even to look at from the inside. Breakfast buffet is served in a tight space and more or less standard, no more. Personnel is mixed. Most are friendly, some are not. We had a 3 and a 5 course menu during our stay, information about what they were serving us had to be requested for each course, first time the waiter replied: don´t you have it on your written confirmation? Quite a few smelled like they had just come from their smoking break. Service management was awful, not open to any criticism and absolutely needs improvement. We had a birthday party, no support for the celebration beyond standard restaurant service was provided, offered or even discussed. We were a party of 5, with one person requesting gluten-free. We stayed for 3 days. Day one it worked. Day 2 they had forgotten all about it. Day 3 they were sorry. You had to arrange per meal how to pay for the drinks. I wanted to pay them all each and every time. I had to go to the individual main waiter to make the arrangement. They were always different. No alternative offered, none provided even on request. So basically it feels like you book the overnight stay and each meal separately and it is you who has to do the coordination between all those services, which is difficult when they tell you "we should have known about this yesterday". So my recommendation: it is a good place to visit for a night, a lunch or an evening meal. Avoid breakfast and longer stays or just be happy with what you get.

Am 24.7.24 zu einer Geburtstagsfeier wieder mal im Hackstück zum Abendessen gewesen, es war so schön, die ruhige Lage, der zauberhafte Garten, ein aufmerksamer Service und ein hervorragendes Essen, ein rundum gelungener Abend, DANKE, komme auf jeden Fall wieder, Gabriele Märtens :))

Hervorragende Qualität, wir kennen das Hackstück seit über 30 Jahren. Im Restaurant waren die Preise schon immer gehoben. Jedoch wurden diese von 2023 zu 2024 um ca. 20 % angehoben !!! Weizenbier im Mai 2023 4,80 €, jetzt im Mai 2024 5,90 €. Speisen ebenso hoch im Preis gestiegen. Bei allen Kostenerhöhungen, die wir alle derzeit erleiden, nicht nachzuvollziehen.

Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal hier. Und ganz bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal . Von der Bedienung an über das Essen bis hin zum Ambiente einfach erstklassig. Bis bald wir sehen uns ganz bestimmt wieder. Ein bisschen abgelegen aber mit Navi kein Problem

Wir waren mit der Familie hier. Sehr großzügige Räumlichkeiten in einem gemütlichen Ambiente. Das Essen war durchweg sehr gut. Sowohl qualitativ als auch handwerklich gut gemacht. Kann die negative Bewertung absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Der Service ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Alles in allem empfehlenswert :-) Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir waren letzten Samstag das 2.Mal im Hackstück in Hattingen und waren genauso begeistert, wie beim 1.Mal. Wie schön die Außenanlage vor Weihnachten geschmückt ist, das ist wirklich atemberaubend. Aber auch im Restaurant ist alles so liebevoll dekoriert. Das Personal ist wirklich super, schnell super freundlich und und immer sehr wichtig: humorvoll. Wir waren zum Wildbuffet da, und obwohl ich nicht der „Wild-Fan“ bin, habe ich genügend Auswahl auch für mich gefunden. Wir waren mit Freunden dort, und werden auf jeden Fall immer wieder kommen. Vielleicht das Nächste Mal sogar über Nacht. Danke ans tolle Team.
