I travel a lot to visit my extended family (I have 8 children & 12 grandkids), and we have had a Wyndham membership for years. My son and his wife are having another baby, and we were there for a very short visit to help them out. We had one day to swim, and spend time together as a family. I literally said time and time again, while booking, calling to check on room, and checking into hotel that we desperately looked forward to a day together at the pool. I also said that this was the ONLY REASON we booked at the Baymont. I was assured that the pool would be open, and despite the hail damages the week aft booking... the pool "would be open 💯 open!" It wasn't... early the next morning the noise started, and guess what??? POOL CLOSED!!! They said it would open at 5pm. We had ONE DAY to spend together... dinner at 6:20pm-7pm. I asked if there could be some sort of discount, or something... "NO, nothing!" I talked to the manager later, and she was horribly rude and quiet literally didn't care. She (witnessed by my husband and nobody was at the counter at the time) literally said word for word, "You can have a full refund, and go to Motel 6... they have a better pool anyway!" I was shocked! What manager says that? My husband said he was shocked at how nice and reserved I was with this manager the second time, and front desk man the first time I was informed of the closed pool. When I got home and called the front desk, same guy was lying, didn't care, and told me to look up customer service information on the website... then hung up on me. He said he had a lobby full of people, but there wasn't anyone that we saw (besides workers for roof) the whole time were were there. Also, I didn't hear anyone over the phone. It doesn't really matter, the customer service was the worst ever!! The room was adequate at best, no cream or sugar for the 4 pkg of coffee, and the small room on the 3rd floor wasn't really worth the $300 charge. I guess our entire family will be staying at the Motel 6 when we all (7 families) visit our son and his new baby! Never staying here again, and I would advise y'all stay at any hotel besides this one! PS: We didn't have breakfast, so I have no idea about food. Sorry.
