We had stayed here a couple of years Ago and it was great. This visit however was very different and disappointing. The shower was dirty and the shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for years!! Under the bed was also deep in dust and dirt-again looking like it hadn’t been cleaned for years!! When you walked onto the floor you picked up dirt. We mentioned all of this to the cleaner and she didn’t once apologise!!

Had a great visit, room was clean, staff fantastic. Visiting out daughter, Had a lovely breakfast evening meals very good. We stopped for three nights, parking is next to the hotel. Close to a lot of attractions within drive distance. Will stop again.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. It had everything you needed with extra touches, such as fresh milk and straighteners, that make all the difference. We ate in the restaurant on one night and the food was delicious. Thank you!

What a fantastic stay even though it was just one night!! The bed was very comfortable, the room n bathroom was very clean but the only thing I will say is that the chair could use some tlc and the rug under the bed needs to be professionally cleaned to remove stains. The coffee in the room was delicious but not having an espresso machine, I wasn’t quite sure how to use it. The radiator in the bathroom needs some attention. I had forgotten my charger plug n they very kindly gave me one to borrow. Would certainly recommend it n looking forward to staying again in June and having the amazing quality breakfast. 5*

Lovely welcome by staff who insisted on checking that the room was perfect before we got the keys. The room was just that, ‘perfect’. The room is well appointed, beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable with lots of pillows. There a lovely large dressing table with good lighting, lots of electrical points. There’s a safe for belongings which is a good size. Plenty of storage for clothes, a hanging rail and shelves. The bathroom is gorgeous, beautifully tiled in white with quality toiletries, shower powerful and lots of hot water. I love this place as they’ve paid attention to the things that makes your stay special, like a quality coffee machine as well as a kettle, quality coffee and tea; they even put a fancy glass bottle of milk in the fridge! There’s also an umbrella 🌂 just in case; I’m not sure what else they could’ve thought of? Thank you for a super stay 👏

Lewis is the greatest barman of all time. Friendly, knowledgeable and goes the extra mile! If Carlsberg made barmen... 😉 I will come again, not only for Lewis' abilities but also for the food, the atmosphere and the company!

Room was fantastic, and bearing in mind my wife has mobility problems was perfect being on ground floor with easy to access shower. Breakfast was spot on too. Parking easy. Staff were really so friendly and helped make our brief stay really memorable. Would highly recommend.

My family took me to The Crown in Friday for my 60th and it was fantastic, from the moment we arrived until we left the staff could not have done any more to help. The food was fantastic and on recommendation from my brother in law I tried the fillet steak which was cocked to perfection, I understand from my father in law the fish was very nice in fact everyone enjoyed the food. It was a bit expensive but it was worth it. The service from the waitress as spot on but I have forgotten her name (sorry) .
