Aja Strandhotel Bansin

We were here for our second visit and were not disappointed. This is an excellent hotel that thinks of many details to make a stay unforgettable for its guests (in particular, families). We were only very disappointed that the kid’s play/drawing area which was overseen by a staff member in the main dining area is no longer available. They simply don’t offer it any more. This was gold to us during our first stay - simply being able to drink our morning coffee in peace while our child played. Without this, every mealtime was extremely stressful since after their quick time eating, our kids created havoc and wanted to run around and do something. This kid’s area was one of the main reasons we came back to the hotel. I really hope they consider re-instating this!!! We actually didn’t have dinner in the main restaurant because of this and ate downstairs because the kids could be louder and run around there. We missed out on many delicious buffets… Pros: -the room was incredible. They accommodated our room request. We were so grateful! The view was stunning (ocean and forest). -the food and breakfast are of extremely high quality (excepting the Patio restaurant downstairs which we found mediocre, although the drinks were good). -excellent pool area and spa, ocean views, warm enough to swim in, too cold for my baby but great for the 5 year old. -wonderful kids club. Jola did a great job. Good activities. The addition of a soft play room and toddler room was great since the kid‘a club itself is only accessible for children 25 months and up. -beautiful fine sand beach out front, to the left it’s all wild and natural. -excellent staff and front of house staff. The main guy there was very experienced and solved problems with ease and professionalism. -worth the money. You get so much and have such a relaxing stay, it’s totally worth it. -Bollerwagens available to use. Bikes available to rent at a reasonable price. Cons -that vanished kid’s play area in the main restaurant

Tolles Hotel, tolle Lage aber leider seit aja nachgelassen… Wir waren zum 5 mal da. Jedes Mal waren wir begeistert und kamen gerne wieder und Vorfreude war nie getrübt. Dieses Mal waren wir enttäuscht von vielen Kleinigkeiten die bei 4 Sternen und diesen Preisen nicht sein müssen. Als erstes wäre das Frühstück. Auswahl im vergleich zu Vorjahren mager und unbefriedigend. Wurst / Käseangebot, Säfte Auswahl ist viel kleiner geworden. Früher gab es ein Minismoothie jeden Tag diesmal nur am Wochenende Betten wurden nicht gemacht. Das Patio hat früher eine tolle zusätzliche Karte gehabt mit Saisongerichten und Leckereien jetzt gibt es Punsch. Früher wurden Cocktailwüsche erfüllt jetzt gibt es nur ne kleine Auswahl und Wünsche können auf Grund der mangelhaften Barausstattung erst gar nicht erfüllt werden. Neues Bier statt Störtebecker. Tische draußen wurden auch zum Ende des Tages auch beim schönen Wetter nicht abgewischt… Kleinigkeiten die es früher nicht gab…

Wir waren schon öfter in diesem Hotel und mit allem sehr zufrieden. Das Potenzial des Hauses sind die stets kompetenten und freundlichen Mitarbeiter. Viele sind schon seit Jahren in diesem Haus. Natürlich ist die Lage ungeschlagen, aber das ist nicht alles. Das Frühstück zeigt schon deutliche Spuren der Gewinnmaximierung. Die Vielfalt, für jeden Geschmack etwas bereitzustellen, gibt es nicht mehr. Besonders am Käse ist dies zu erkennen. 2 Sorten einfacher Scheibenkäse und immer derselbe Camembert. Veränderungen bringen immer nur etwas, wenn man dadurch für den Gast eine Verbesserung erzielt, um ihn bei den steigenden Preisen vom Wiederkommen zu überzeugen. Da ja alle immer von Nachhaltigkeit reden, finde ich es sehr kurz gedacht, durch solche Einsparungen in einem Hotel mit bisher 4 Sternen am Frühstück zu sparen. Einmal verlorene Stammgäste kann man schlecht zurückholen. Zumal ja der Übernachtungspreis nicht gerade niedrig ist. Der Spa Bereich ist immer noch sehr gut. Für mich persönlich ist das Wasser im Schwimmbad zu kalt. Vielleicht kann man ja gleich am Anfang der Übernahme durch die Aja -Kette das Schlimmste verhindern und das frühere Niveau beibehalten. Das wünsche ich mir für alle Beteiligten.
