After a long journey in a stormy weather it appeared like a lighthouse in the storm and... what an amazing welcome! The landlady has really been helpful and kind and the place is top notch: amazing interiors, very comfortable beds and large family rooms, spotless clean not to mention the really yummy breakfast. Thank you for the perfect stay!

Beautiful property at the foot of the nature reserve. Most amazing views. All the comforts you require for a luxury stay. Celia is a warm host and we felt right at home. The plants are just exquisite in the house and love and care noticeable all around the lovely guest house. We can highly recommend this guest house and hope to return again soon.

The Selkirk House is a very modern and stylish Guesthouse in a quiet neighborhood. Everything in this house is very generously designed and extremely tastefully furnished. We were only here for two nights and during this time there was only one other couple staying with us. It was correspondingly quiet. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Celia, our hoste, welcomed us in her beautiful and luxurious villa in Hermanus. We had a private room and bathroom and shared common areas: pool, dining room, living room. Although we only stayed for one night, we were completely rested and ready to continue our trip through SA, especially after the lovely breakfast Celia provided!

Stunning guest house in a lovely neighbourhood. Walking distance from Sat Market. Rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Pure luxury. Celia is an outstanding host and breakfast was beautifully presented. Rooms have all the comforts you would expect from a 5 star luxury guest house. Beautiful lounges with gas fire make for a very comfortable stay. We loved our stay.

First thing I have to mention is Celia our host she is brilliant knowledgeable and many more I could mention. As for the B&B from the moment you step out off you car you are in for a treat, Walk into the front door you get the wow factor straight away in how clean and modern it is. My room is massive super clean and great amenities , Fridge kettle coffee make etc , Massive amount off storage units. Huge mirror for the ladies and there make up. The bathroom I am jealous it is huge bath and shower which is a walk in one . Breakfast has everything you need and more very tasty. Wi-Fi is fast and reliable . No need to worry about load-shedding that’s covered . All in all I’ve been to many places around the world and one hotel is on par and I paid three times as much .

Where to begin, Celia is by far the most incredible host we have had. She went out of her way to make our stay as special as possible. The food was too good not to go back for seconds so for the foodies out there you are in for a treat. The spacious rooms each had their own personality with luxurious en suite bathrooms and abundant closet space. Our room had a view of their magnificent mountain and we even enjoyed some drinks during sunset on their sun deck.

Selkirk House is a wonderful gem in Hermanus. Cecil is an exceptional host and all staff is super friendly. The place itself boasts with comfort & coziness, the rooms are spacious and equipped with all the perks needed. The delicious breakfast has been absolute highlight in the morning. Thanks so much for hosting us in APR 2023.

We travel a lot but our stay at Selfkirk house was one of our most memorable stays. It is a fabulous, spacious and luxurious villa with 5 beautiful guest rooms and several lounge areas which are beautiful decorated. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The breakfasts were scrumptious from homemade granola to carrot ginger apple juice. The delicious hot breakfast, made with care. The host Celia is the most heartwarming and welcome host I have ever met.. On arrival there was a confusion with the booking which she solved immediately. I am still very grateful for her efforts in this. I can not speak high enough to praise Celia how she looks after her guests and take care of them. Nothing is too much for her to make your stay an unforgettable. We highly recommend Selfkirk House for a luxurious pampered stay.
