I stayed at the Kyriad for 4 nights at the start of June. We had 2 rooms adjoining as there were no family rooms and there were 2 of us with 2 children and a 4 month old baby. After reading the reviews on here i was not expecting much. But i think i was shocked to find it so basic. Ok there is working air con, a wardrobe with 4 hangers, a desk, a working shower with hot water, and a kettle provided. A TV but no english channels and not a smart tv so could not log in to netflix. Think of this as a motel not a hotel. It has roadside vibes, where you just walk in to your room from outside. No lobby or reception area. Reception is in separate building. Expect very very basic room. Very tired decor, and very old, almost in need of demolishing and rebuilding, but the linen is clean, towels are provided, and bed is made up fresh every day. It was nice to come back to the bed made and fresh towels and loo roll in the bathroom after a day of touring Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D Day. But there are no luxuries here. If you are wanting just a cheap place to sleep then this is fine, but do not expect anything more. Luckily we were out by 9am and not returning until around 10 or 11pm in the evening so this suited us fine. I would not stay here again unless it was free or i was on severely tight budget. Breakfast is wonderful for those who are happy to eat cheese, meat, pastries etc. i am vegan so did not find much for me to eat here. I had some baguette and orange juice. I have given an extra star for the fact they have an actual Tropicana machine here. Not the cheap nasty fruit juice you usually find at hotels. They had endless choice of apple and orange juice which my children loved. There was some soya milk however when we went to pour it on some cereal it was thick and gloopy, definitely off, so we did not eat it. The same carton seemed to be out the next day too.
