Howard Johnson by Wyndham Hershey

Wouldn't let us check in due to a security deposit of $100... room was already booked and paid for. No refund. Only short $20 of $100 and still wouldn't let us stay. Everywhere I've been, they would work with you. With that being said, I had to sleep in my car that night.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. It's dirty the amenities do not work and the frest desk is unhelpful and is not willing to accommodate. Uppon arrival our room was very warm and our refrigerator was not working. We called immediately to the desk to address the issue. We were told that the ac unit worked and that the fridge works because there was ice build up in the freezer area. She turned the dial on the fridge and asked that we check it again in awhile. We went to dinner and when we returned it was the same and the waters and juice we put in prior was not even chilled. Making matters worse I have a small infant who I am breatfeeding and I am unable to keep her milk cold. I called again and they are refusing to change our room claiming once again that they spoke to management and the fridge is apparently working because there is ice build up. Then she offered me to keep my milk for my daughter who wakes up multiple times a night in her fridge in the lobby of the hotel!!!! Like ***. They will not refund our money. We also complained about the room next to us bc people were swearing and fighting and I was told quiet hour was not for another 27 minutes.

Nice and clean room. Very close to hershey down town area. Near tangers outlet. Nice hotel for the price.

To expensive for one night & the smoke detector went off from my steam in the shower! The room was really small & the beds were uncomfortable

The checkin staff was so friendly and pleasant. I will say the room was clean and close to the stadium where we were going to see a concert but overpriced and outdated.The staff at checkout was not that pleasant.

Hotel was run down. Rooms are very small, smelled of stale smoke and very musty. No elevator to the second floor. I do not recommend this hotel.

There were roaches and mold in the shower. The toilet had pee on it. The room smelled bad. The railings going up to the room were rusted, should have been my first sign to leave. I spent under five minutes in the room before I went down to the office. They would not refund me my money. They offered me another room. But if there’s roaches in one room, they’re going to be in all the rooms.

We decided to go to Hershey Pa to bring our son for the first time. We saw a few hotels and decided on the Howard Johnson as it was reasonably priced, close to Hershey Park and the restaurants we had googled that were in Hershey. Also, they had been renovated with bright colors in the rooms which we felt our son would love! I have never stayed at a Howard Johnson and was a bit worried as I didn't even know they still were in existence. My worries were put to rest the moment we walked in. The Manager was knowledgeable, friendly and the hotel was a gem! I actually manage hotels in the city and I check for everything. This hotel was clean and safe! The restaurant was amazing! We thought we would get hotel type food and this was great food! We had steaks and great glasses of wine and the ambiance was amazing and family oriented! We walked away after our two days so happy! We will be going back year after year!

Clean, comfortable and Great Location to Hersey! Minutes away from Hersey Park and pretty downtown Hersey. Very nice and clean outdoor pool. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant on location and the food was delicious. Nice family weekend.
