I paid for a room online through the Super 8 webpage, not a third party provider. I arrived at the super 8 and I was told they can't find my reservation, even though I had the receipt and confirmation number of my booking in my email. The front desk person after 30 minutes and asking the same questions tells me I'll book you another room, ok great. I told her that I've already been charged for the room because I get text and email alerts from my visa. She than talks down to me and says well you will NEVER get charged until we run YOUR visa in the morning. I said again it has been charged because I get the alerts. She tells me not to worry. That was just pre authorization, I told her the reservation was a no refund pre charged. I was ignored again and assured that I will not get charged because someone PHYSICALY needs to charge the card. Its been over 30 minutes now, I've been driving all day. SO she books me a room. The next day I leave. GUESS what, after the pre approvals/ incidental charges go back on my card, FIVE days later. I am left with being charged for two rooms!!! Imagine that! I have phone multiple times being told management will reverse the charges and phone me. It's been a week, not one phone back and the charges are still there. I strongly recommend don't us super 8.
