The White Hart Hotel

They left extra towels (that should be kept clean) on the floor in front of the door. The walls had some holes. The overall structure is old and not renovated. The cold water of the sink stopped running in the evening: I had to brush my teeth under the shower. The shower was either too hot or too cold. To get into the rooms, you need to climb a staircase that is so narrow that you can hardly carry your luggage.

Staff friendly, otherwise what a basic not so clean venue. Says it all really. Average at best. The toilets are not fit for purpose and to think that anyone would spend an evening here amazes me. Holsworthy really lacking in a smart hotel /Pub and eatery

We attended the pub to have dinner as we were at the Holsworthy 44 weekend. It was welcoming, allowed dogs in the bar area and customer service was excellent. We were a big group of 12, but the food came out timely and was delicious! Everyone was very happy with their food! The owner then kindly took a photo of our group outside the pub! We can’t wait to come again when the show is next on!

To call this a hotel is a joke! Had we not pre-paid for the room, we would have left immediately! No curtains, minimalistic furnishings, information file that was incorrect and misleading and the wardrobe consisted of six wire coat hangers on hooks on the wall! Hotel room details of menu costs/prices were less than those charged in the bar! This is disingenuous at best if not verging on the fraudulent. Room guide stated:- Breakfast is served in the main bar between xxxx and xxxx. Nothing of the sort!!! We were to find two cardboard boxes outside our room with allegedly what purported to be breakfast!!! We had ONE CHAIR AND NO TABLE ON WHICH TO EAT T HIS SUPPOSED BREAKFAST!!! We would strongly recommend other tourists NOT TO USE this “facility”. In staying in several small hotels during our tour this summer, this was pleasingly the exception.

So I'm leaving this review before I've spent the night. But this evening, I had the fillet steak, cooked mushrooms, tomatoes, onion rings and fries. The fact that the steak comes out blue on a 300°C volcanic stone is bloody amazing. I could cut my steak up into bite sized pieces and sear them individually on the hot stone and each mouthful be piping hot and tasty 😋

We were looking for somewhere for lunch while staying in the area and came across the White Hart. We chose the steak on the hot grill, with sides of raw mushrooms, chips and onion rings. You cook your meat and mushrooms on the hot plate to your own liking and it was delicious (so good in fact that we went back later in the week - wish we were staying longer as we’d have liked to have tried the prawns too). Added bonus was the price, very reasonable and I would definitely recommend.

We stayed 3 nights in this Hotel, room only. The room was spacious, comfy cool beds, good shower and very clean. The cleaning lady was especially helpful with providing local information and supplies of tea, coffee and milk for the room. The price was very reasonable, and we would recommend this Hotel for a short stay.

Booked 4 rooms but my Room smelt really of mould also wall paper was hanging off under window due to damp , black mould in shower ,shower head and bottom of shower curtain mouldy. Worst thing was what looked like blood stains on pillow . Told landlord about it all He went and had a look agreed it was what I said apologised blamed it on the cleaner and said sorry but we're fully booked and pretty much deal with it .also on description it does state that it has steep stairs . But be aware they are very steep and thin so if your disabled like me you will have a big problem getting up and down ..never ever again will I be staying here.

Very Disappointing stay, we arrived at 08:30pm and the bar had already stopped serving food. The stair way up to the rooms is almost dangerous, very steep narrow stairway with a 180 turn half way up with restricted head space, this should not be acceptable as you have to carry luggage bags up these stairs (we only had hand luggage bags) The room was very smelly of mould and smoke (fag but still in window jams), very mouldy smell in the room and wall paper is peeling off the wall, the room did not have a desk for an working that may be needed. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable, this is a very basis offering and should not be advertised as a hotel - and should be honest and say its a Hostel Breakfast was served in a shoebox size cardboard box directly to the bed room and left on the floor out side, the contents was of basic quality and not that great. In the morning the bar is all closed off and there is no seating available until 11am You have to be out of the room at 10am so these no where to go in between
