Die Hotelanlage ist sehr gross und gepflegt. Das Zimmer hatte einen grandiosen Ausblick und eine gute Ausstattung. Es war sehr geräumig und das Badezimmer riesig. Und hat der Aufenthalt sehr gefallen - Mietauto empfehlenswert. :)

This was our first visit to The Crane and upon arrival we were greeted affectionately by Joan who has continued to show her knowledge and professionalism regarding the resort and the island. Our accommodations were top notch, the pools, beach, gym and tennis courts were outstanding. I feel sad to be leaving in a few days!

Nice place, not very friendly, many things not accessible, move in a very slow pace and no one cares, wait time in restaurants way to long, no swim up bar , pool service very slow or non existent, no carts to help with luggage or anything else sad

Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful location. Beach very clean. Love the sea breeze. Property restaurants very good. Have visited many times and always enjoy coming back. Special mention to Nicole (Front Desk manager) and Shane (Bell) who were extremely helpful.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Crane. Our room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Service was exceptional and all of the staff is so friendly. Multiple restaurants and, bar and grills on the property. We will vacation here again.

Sadly... not what was expected - paid for a five star resort experience and at best it was more three star experience. As I said…disappointing considering how much we paid in $$$ and also by using our Vacation Owners Points Our room was well appointed and definitely the best out of the five rooms we had booked. Well maintained, decorated and the outside space plus our pool were kept spotless at all times. The gardens surrounding all the rooms and in the resort generally were beautifully kept - great team of gardeners worked daily to ensure this The main pools were nicely appointed although accompanied by the daily sound of building work as much needed upgrades carried out. The adult pool was clean and generally quiet but in need of a good jet wash clean on the decking areas which were dirty especially on the garden/tree side. Generally the overall pool furniture is ok but, especially at the top pool area, many loungers need replacement as many are dirty, old and/or broken Unfortunately, the resort has issues - overall it's very tired and has poor customer service issues across the board from the pool servers/bar attendants/servers and restaurant staff who have poor interaction with guests and basically give the vibe of wanting to be anywhere else but there! Gloria, Shelly and Juanita could show many of their colleagues a thing or two about customer service with genuine smiles …lovely ladies to have known. They should be made Ambassadors for the resort. Management take note The ‘on resort’ restaurants are Ok - all in need of updating as look very tired. The Zen is allegedly their top restaurant, it’s nothing special, expensive for what it offers - let down by poor service and mediocre food. L’Azure is the breakfast area - great views and thanks to Gloria and Shelly this was our best restaurant experience. Happy Hour at the 1887 was not that ‘happy’ as not enough happy staff and a wait of 30mins was not unusual before your drinks appeared … longer at weekends. D’Onofrios Italian - nice trattoria vibe, best food by far was their pizzas The management are a new team and are aware that improvements are required across the whole spectrum... specifically the customer service aspect, poolside cleanliness and lack of staff - especially when the resort gets busier at weekends. There is a big issue with the recording of transactions charged to the room - pay special attention to this as daily errors were unfortunately made on all our bills and if not checked would have been very costly! Plus double check when your card is charged and by how much - a member of my group (who had flown back to the U.K.)was duplicate charged on her credit card and then charged again for someone else’s! Fortunately I was still on resort and eventually managed to get it sorted on her behalf.. I hope the deadlines management are hoping to achieve to ‘put things back to what they were and where they should be’ will actually happen in time for the next busy season - if

The main pools were nicely appointed although accompanied by the sound of building works on daily basis as upgrades are being carried out. The adult pool was quiet but in need of a good clean on the deck areas. Some pool furniture is in need of replacement as is broken Unfortunately, the resort has issues - overall it’s tired and has poor customer service issues across the board from the pool servers/the bar attendants/servers and restaurant staff - not everyone though …particular shout out to Gloria and Shelly at breakfast - they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and our lovely lady Juanita who looked after our room so beautifully. Ladies, you are all a credit to the resort and could show many of your colleagues how to smile and share the joy of life. To be fair to the management team, they made things right financially before we departed My hope and wish is that the deadlines they are hoping to achieve are met otherwise you will pay top £££ for a resort that is clinging to its previous enviable reputation of bygone days … the potential is there but is the investment?

There were many aspects to this resort that we enjoyed including: - The property is large and has lots of charming fountains, pools, and walkways. - Crane Beach is beautiful. It was hard to stay awake listening to the crashing waves. - The room was comfortable for a 1 bedroom. Sometimes 1 Bedroom units at timeshares are tiny. This one had a large living room, patio with 2 lounge chairs, and large bedroom. - The breakfast at Azure was plentiful. On Sunday we listened to an excellent group singing gospel music. The views from Azure are magnificent. - We had a takeout margharita pizza from 1887 that was tasty even though it was cold by the time we got to our room. - There is a nice reception by one of the pools on Monday evening where they served a variety of drinks. - We received a welcome gift of fresh fruit and 2 vouchers for a rum punch at 1887. - There is a village atmosphere for the shops and restaurants on property. - There were a number of different local vendors displaying their work each day. There were a few issues that kept our stay from being perfect: - For 1 and 1/2 days, the elevator in our building did not work. - We got a cold takeout pizza from 1887. I got bounced around before being directed to the restaurant phone number. I left a message which was never returned. The next day we stopped in and left a message for the manager to call us. We did not get a call back. We had to try a third time before geting any satisfaction. The manager Julian comped us generously for our troubles. - The ATM on property ONLY accepts credit cards. My debit cards were all declined. Bring cash (USD or BBD) or a credit card with a pin. - Black birds flew around Azure with abandon. Plates that were left uncovered were targets for them. They especially seemed to like eggs. - Although there is a bar on Crane Beach, there are no servers who come by to take your order. The kitchen at the bar closes early at 5:00 PM. The local rideshare app, PickUP, does not have the volume of taxis that are found in major cities. I tried reserving a cab for about 30 minutes and kept getting messages that no cabs were available. The concierge called a cab for us. Cabs in Barbados do not accept credit cards so make sure to have cash on hand.
