Tulip Motel

Dirty, room reserved for two and was equipped with 1 hand towel, 1 small bath towel, no face cloth, 1 motel size bar soap, 1 roll toilet paper. TV not working properly. air conditioner not working properly. Paid $20.00 extra per night for xsmall poodle that is cleaner than room.

The receptionist was nice. That's the only good thing about this place. When to owner drives his new Lexus over the many potholes in the drive, you know the revenue is not going into keeping the place up. This was a last-minute stay because we needed a pet friendly motel. The room was cleanish. The floor of the washroom was sticky. The bathroom tiles were not clean. The outlets for personal use electrical were well hidden under the bed. The other spot was close to the ceiling. The TV had no remote so adjusting sound was not available. The bed was terrible. I love my wife but did not want to sleep that closely together. The bed gave us no choice. The cover was old, this, and frayed at the edges. No duvet or bedspread. There was one old and thin towel in the bathroom. No tub, just a shower. The toilet was unstable and rocked when you sat down, The electrical fixture for hard dryers was 7 feet off the ground, and did not work. This place may work as a hot pillow motel, but as a place to stay, it was a disgrace.

Wanted to stay for 3 hours in between shows at a local dog show. Was charged $90 (regular rate) but he threw in our dog “for free”. The room was disgusting, never warmed up (freezing), stains all over the bathroom and the walls. Owner said “no dogs on the furniture” as if I’d let my dog on something that is probably flea infested or full of bed bugs. Had a couple of other dogs and their owners come for a bit and we all sat on the floor on our dog beds with our dogs. When I left (the place was exactly as I found it), the owner flipped out on me, calling me a liar because I had more people and dogs than I said I would. Instead of being thankful for the business he told me to never come back. LOL as if I would! Rude, disgusting and ridiculously over priced.
