We have both good and bad points here. So the negative first: 1) the hotel is clearly very dated and tired. It used to be a 5* but since, you can see a star has been removed. From old school design to rotting and damp doors. Our room smelt of stale smoke when we arrived. 2) There is NO air con. Or it simply isnt turned on on April. It was 26degrees outside and the room was humid. When we asked for air con, they said the hotel didnt have any! 3) Our room had an ajoining door. We arrived quite late on the first night (midnight) and when we started to unpack and move our cases around we encountered shouting from the room next door as we were being too loud. The 2nd night, whilst preparing for bed (around 10.40pm) we received a knock on our ajoining door and our neighbour wanted to inform us that they could hear all our conversations and that we, as BOTH parties had NO privacy. It felt quite violating. 4) The water pressure wasnt great. Ok on to the positives... 1) Free and onsite parking 2) the beds were rather comfy 3) TV allowed you ro screen share ir sync to phone. 3) Communal areas are rather nice. 4) Breakfast had a good variety. 5) Staff were friendly. Overall, the hotel rooms just need a makeover and modernising.
