The Dolon House Bed and Breakfast

We found our time at the Dolon House to be an outstanding experience. From the delectable breakfasts to the very interting furnishings and the informative and knowledgeable owners, our three day anniversary get away was quite memorable.

Absolutely fabulous small Inn by the main street of historic Jim Thorpe. Full of history, and full of decorative memorabilia and art. The breakfasts are something different - three courses plus extras. Incredible! We just love the place!

The house is beautiful and instantly transports you back in time. The house is impeccably restored and yet comfortable with all the modern amenities you'd expect. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. The collection of antiques and artwork just add to the experience. All this is yet outdone by the fabulous 3 course breakfast that is served each morning by you innkeepers, Jeffri and Michael. We looked forward to the dining experience each morning and were never disappointed! Jeffri and Michael were always ready to make dinner recommendations or suggest things to see in the Jim Thorpe area. We are already planning a return trip!

We recently stayed at the DOLON HOUSE BED & BREAKFAST. It was a fantastic experience. We really loved the Dolon House, and the breakfast was exceptional. This was our first stay; it won’t be our last. We didn’t even miss not having a television in the room. The whole place is beautiful and again it was a great experience.

I have lived and worked in the Jim Thorpe area for over 30 years, but this past weekend I took my wife to town for her birthday to play tourist for a change of pace. We chose to stay from Friday to Sunday afternoon at the Dolan house B&B, renting out the Turret suite, which makes up the room that sits inside its iconic round tower. From that vantage point, you gaze straight down Broadway from above.  In short, the entire adventure was the definition of a 5 Star Experience! Having met Michael and Jeffri before; my expectations were admittedly high, but we were pleasantly surprised to have those expectations FAR exceeded. To begin, you’re in the very heart of Broadway and don’t have to waste a single minute parking, thanks to their ample sized private lot that even my truck pulled right into. Our room…along with the entirety of the house, is meticulously adorned in various pieces from numerous countries around the world! Not a single detail is missed, from the hand selected bottle of red wine sitting on the round table adjacent to the chocolates, to the second spoon set exactly as it should be during the three course breakfast. A breakfast I must add, that was the very best I had ever had.  The Dolan house is like a wonderful sampling of Europe’s fineries. As someone who has studied, worked, and lived in over two dozen countries myself, my standard for quality, novel experiences has its requirements. I was so impressed by the experience, that I would urge not only any tourists coming to town, but locals as well, to share the experience. Our town is lucky to have such great hosts as Michael and Jeffri at the forefront of excellence. For anyone who wants to remember what it’s like to truly enjoy the good old town of Jim Thorpe, book a night or two at the Dolan House B&B and go enjoy!

We had a great one-night stay at the Dolan House after riding the train and biking back to Jim Thorpe. It's a beautiful old house FILLED with interesting pieces, pictures, books, etc. The rooms were beautiful and the bed super comfortable. Our inn keeper was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast was out of this world great! Great location, close to everything.

We came to Jim Thorpe to do the 25 mile Train Ride and Bike and the Dolon House was a perfect place to go afterwards. A warm welcome greeted us and the gorgous porch was a wonderful place to relax while we waited for our dinner reservations which were in walking distance. The rooms were not only beautiful, but quiet and comfortable and held a nice assortment of teas and coffees. The breakfast though - it was truly outstanding! Not the usual banana bread and muffins, this was a three course, gourmet brunch with locally sourced ingredients and stories behind them all. Absolutely amazing!

My husband and I just returned from a weekend in Jim Thorpe where we stayed at the beautiful Dolon House, where Michael and Jeffries went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing, comfortable and delicious! The inn is located in the heart of the town, our room was beautifully decorated - chilled water and treats and a very comfy bed just a few of the amenities that made it so inviting. The breakfast they lovingly prepared and served each morning was as much a feast for the eyes as it was for the tastebuds, they offered wonderful advice on the many fun activities Jim Thorpe has to offer and made their home feel like ours! We can’t wait to return someday!

This was our second trip to Jim Thorpe and the Dolon House this year and once again it did not disappoint. This beautiful Victorian inn is in the heart of historic Jim Thorpe, Pa. It is filled with lovely art and antiques but has all the comforts of home. The owners are exceptional and go above and beyond to assure you have the best stay. The breakfasts are 5 star and there are many attractions within walking distance from the inn.
