Nice hotel with private pool. Good breakfast with a view. Great sea view.

Unfortunatelly sometimes what you see is not exactly what you get. Although the employees are polite, they show incompetence in terms of 5 star quality service. The room with the private pool was spacious and the cleaning staff was excellent, they gave us extra pillows, changed the sheets often and in general they stayd approximately 30 minutes in every room to clean it. The employees of the hotel were all polite and friendly but you could tell their lack of 5 star hospitality exprerience. The breakfast buffet and the all day menu was tasty but «boring» in terms of variety, you can find it easily anywhere, you don't have to pay so much money. The location of the Hotel is horrible,in the central Avenue, and most of the times the garden rooms are noisy because of another venue next to it called Trilogia. Last but not least there are so many beautiful hotels to explore in Peloponnese that Horizon Blu might be a good choice for ie. work seminars but not to relax and get away. ps-the visitors of the Hotels that are not tenants should not be allowed to such 5 star hotels that want to deliver a unique experience.

Great hotel in a good location . Breakfast was great with great attentive service .Our room was modern and super clean everyday. Pool is excellent with plenty of beds with towels included. Only negative is there seemed to be a fair few non residents using the pool which I don’t like . If you’re not a fan of loud Americans then this isn’t the place for you ….

Fabulous hotel in a quiet location. Rooms lovely, we had a large balcony which was not overlooked. The towels and bed linen changed regularly. The pool area is great, really comfortable sunbeds and plenty of them. Generally quiet around the pool and the lovely staff bring jugs of iced water to you all day, which which is a very welcome touch. Location great with many restaurants within easy walking distance. Local bus is great for visiting Kalamata town centre which is worth a visit. We had a car for a couple of days and visited Stoupa, lovely fishing village and ancient town of Messini. Recommend Da Luz to eat in.

This Boutique Hotel continues to deliver excellent accommodation and facilities. Close to the beach and town, with good coastal links to the whole of Messinia. Amazing friendly and very courteous staff who can’t do enough for you, they really do work hard for all guests. Thoroughly recommend a visit asap, albeit due to its popularity you’ll need to book early!

All around amazing experience. Great decor, food, location, rooms, staff. Right across the road from a great beach with sun beds owned by the hotel where you can order food and drinks from their kind staff. Located within a reasonable walking distance many restaurants, cafes, bars etc. Wonderful hotel

We cancelled our reservation as soon as we entered the room. Regardless of the late 70s style of the room with roof beams and the very worn bed, both the room and the hotel exude a very strange atmosphere. It‘s really strange what luxury, boutique and 5-star mean these days. The Horizon Blu is in my opinion definitely not one of the three.

Lots of staff who were friendly and helpful but…. not sure how it achieved 5 star status. It does not compare with other 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Across the road from a pebble beach with hotel sun beds and waiter service. Main pool is very large, soft comfortable sun beds and umbrellas at pool and Beach. Beach/Pool towels are provided via a card system, towels are not long enough to cover all the sunlounger. Stayed b&b. The breakfast food let the hotel down, was not up to 5 star standard. Most days it sat in the warm trays just getting cold. had to ask for basic top ups , ie fresh bread, water hot water, I saw no evidence of any oat/soya milk or vegan alternatives to yogurt (but didn’t ask), Might be available on request? Small toaster, like you have at home, with only one side working. coffee was only ever just warm, despite requesting “a very hot coffee please”. Had a club sandwich by the pool one day & was very nice. Booked swim up room which was very nice but not very private as you could see into both neighbouring pools. The bathroom had separate shower and bath. There was strange sliding door in the bedroom so you could see into the bathroom, rather unnecessary!! The rooms were cleaned daily to a very good standard. The bed was large and comfortable (soft), the pillows were not! Had to constantly ask for tea/coffee/milk & sugar top ups in room. Spa & gym did not open until midday, until 8pm. large cold indoor pool. The gym has 4 pieces of equipment a couple of hand weights, and had to be booked for one hour slots!! The “gym” was terrible! we were asked to pay 28€ departure tax as we left. A 20/30 minutes walk from restaurants beach bars and a bit further on inland, about 20 minute walk, up to shops and more busy bar areas.
