Overall, It was excellent experience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The surrounding and the facilities of the hotel are excellent. However, it would have been great if we had everything ready such as the safety locker before we entered the room. We had to call for help a few times. Other than that, we loved the every minute of our stay there.

It is very hard to summarise how beautiful this place is, nestled in the mountains and spanning across 100 acres. While all the photos on here can give you an idea of the incredible views, beautiful restaurant and stunning pool. It’s really the people who make this place so incredibly special. Make sure you take advantage of the on site restaurant. We enjoyed a beautiful Sri Lankan breakfast on our final day - with the most delicious curries. Thank you to Lalith for looking after us and making sure our plates were refilled! Wasantha - helped us on our first day with beautiful cocktails and a delicious dinner and was so kind to us. And finally to our friend isuru - you really made our stay perfect from the moment we walked through the door. Isuru is so knowledgeable about the property and its surroundings (as well as all things cricket and sports!) we were incredibly touched with how kind, caring and friendly he was to us. We are looking forward to coming back to see you again. Thanks for everything! Love from your Australian friends Hannah and Leigh ❤️

What a beautiful place and facility. Staff are lovely and the food amazing. Thank you Laligh for your attentive service. Pool swim at dawn was a real treat and by far the best shower since we arrived in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend. Beautiful walks situated high on a hill overlooking a beautiful area.

A beautiful hotel located in a very clean and calm environment, from the moment we arrived at the hotel, everyone was very friendly and provided all necessary assistance. The amenities in the room are very good and the evening view outside the room is breathtaking. There are no words to explain the view from the infinity swimming pool. It should be specially mentioned that Mr. Wasantha provided a very appreciable level of service at the restaurant. Mr. Isuru and Mr. Supun also provided great support.

It was such amazing experience and one of life-time experience. Hospitality and relaxation so close to the nature unmatchable experience. Such friendly, helpful, customer oriented and amazing staff. Food was simple but tasty and delicious. Special comment about front office/customer service area such loverly and friendly staff member "Isuru" such amazing guy and gave superb customer service.

It's a beautiful property with breathtaking views. In between lush green mountains. Highly recommend.Property is very neat and clean. The food was just awesome. Staff is very hospitable special mention to Mr.Isuru who took care of our all needs during our stay!! We never forget that gentleman And also the restaurant captain Mr Anushka treated us very well. It was our pleasure to stayed there

It was an awesome family stay for us. The environment and the surroundings were really great and felt very very relaxed. Food was really cool and the 6 meals we had was 6 different tastes [Credit to the chef and the team]. Hospitality we received was at supreme level and must mention that "Ayesha" and "Dilan" gave their finest services and a special thank goes to Mr. Majintha Gamage for all the arrangements. Highly Recommend this place for a relaxed stay.

Simpson's Forest Resort was a lovely place to spend the weekend. We were greeted by the staff at the reception with welcome drinks. Checking in was a breeze and there was plenty of parking. The dinner and breakfast buffet offered a good combination of local and international cuisines. There was an opportunity to go on a guided bird-watching tour of the estate. However, there will be leeches on the path during the rainy season and I highly recommend wearing long trousers and appropriate footwear. We used mountain bicycles to ride up the state, which was a good way to explore the estate and its wildlife. The bicycles were free to use. Lastly, the resort has an infinity pool with an incredible view of the mountains. Overall, we had a comfortable stay at the resort, away from the chaos of city life and would recommend this place to anyone who want a relaxing getaway.

We arrived in Sri Lanka and went to Simpsons Forest for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. It was a truly special place and we were very sad to leave so soon. As guests we were treated like VIPs, and were lucky enough to stay in one of the rooms in the secluded bungalow which meant we were right next to the breathtaking pool. As this is such a small boutique hotel we had the pool to ourselves for most of the time we were there except for the most popular sunset time. Watching the sunset over the mountains and jungle was spectacular. Breakfast is served to your table. We opted to sit outside and have the Sri Lankan breakfast which consisted of the traditional "rice and curries" with string hoppers. It was delicious! Dinners were 5 course European cuisine and once again delicious. We took a guided stroll around the property and saw monkeys, eagles, so many beautiful butterflies and were pointed out a large variety of plants. In the evening at the pool swallows and bats darted around us. A magical experience.
