The best hotel you can choose in Zanzibar for sure. The stay was amazing from the very beginning, the staff was very welcoming, the rooms were super clean, the breakfast & restaurant were excellent. The hotel is based in Pingwe, just in front of the beach. It is closed to blue lagoon where you can go see the starfish and snorkeling with the zebra fishes. The hotel organizes everything for you with the best rate, you don’t have to think about anything, they will think for you. You have also the famous restaurant “The Rock” just at 10 minutes of walk. The sea view private villa with pool is dreamy. We loved the fact that also the public areas gave you a sense of tranquility and made our stay even more pleasant.

The hotel is the best choice you can make when visiting the east side of Zanzibar. It is located in a quiet area of Paje and the two villas offer mesmerizing views of the Indian Ocean. The Staff was the cherry on the top: friendly and helpful. The food was delicious (both african and european cuisine) and the activities offered were various.

I booked the private pool beach villa for my honeymoon, it was more than perfect.. Everyone was so friendly and helpful in Bitcoin. They also surprised us with the room decoration and the floating breakfast which was very nice of them.

Based on a reference of our friends, who stayed here a few years back (with the previous owners) we booked 5 nights IN THE PRIVATE BEACH HOUSE WITHOUT POOL! On arrival the beach villa was not as presented *********** and tripadvisor. See pictures.plants are overgrown, no see view, very thing was dirty and broken (sinks and toilets) missing muskito nets. Outside bath very dirty. Beach full of plastic. it has a 9.3 on booking, the next door hotel (which is lovely, clean and nice has a 9.4). We booked 5 nights, but stayed 1 night. the smell in the house was so back, we all woke up with very bad headaches due to the smell of fungus. The coffee, tea and sugar were full of ants. We notified our travel agent and share the films, they emediatley booked another lovely place for us. We ask for refund, as we didn's stay the other 4 nights. But contact preson Nina was unfriendely, (shared she didnt live on Zanzibar) and told us and our travel agent that based on all great reviews, they won't refund anything. BE WORNED, ALL PICTURES ONLINE ARE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER! DON'T BOOK THIS, IT WILL BE SUPER DISSAPOINTING. THE POOL OF THE OTHER HOUSE LOOKED DIRTY AND OLD AS WELL!!

Beautiful and really relaxing villas with great food and service the staff are wonderful,extremely friendly and helpful the rooms are perfect sizes, I’m enjoying the my time here and is just 10 seconds from the beach front.

Pingwe was our first stop on our trip and we spend a very good time on Kapengaro villa. Good food and wifi, with a direct access to the beach! I highly recommend this place, staff are also very nice and available.

If you are someone that needs to stay in a resort or branded hotel then this is not for you. IF however, you actually want to enjoy and experience the hospitality and best of what Zanzibarians have to offer then you will not go far wrong than staying here. The team are all smiles, engaging and ready to provide you with a fantastic holiday experience. Yes, they sometimes mis-understood what we wanted for breakfast but they reacted and sorted it out with a smile on their face and a willingness to make our (and every guests) stay enjoyable. The location is incredible and if you can, take one of the villa's on the beach simply to experience the sunrise. They made several recommendations before we travelled such as scuba diving, day trips etc etc and all of them were fabulous. This really is the perfect place to check in, forget the pressures of life, unwind and breathe - and then repeat for as many nights as you stay.

A beautiful place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation, the beach villas have amazing views and direct access to the ocean. Thanks to Nina and the entire Kapengaro team, we enjoyed our vacation, they were always helpful and willingly and smilingly advised and helped us in everything. Breakfast and other meals were very good. We left full of beautiful experiences that will stay with us for a long time. Thank you, we would love to come back again. We definitely recommend a stay in Kapengaro!
