If you want to feel like an Icelander in a house with amazing Icelandic architecture upon arrival or departure from Iceland this is the right place! In addition to the warm hospitality of Andi and Yuki, in their garden you can enjoy a hot and relaxing bath in their outdoor heated pool and why not if you are lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from the pool The Guesthouse also provides transfer service from/to airport with an extra cost any time of the day and an excellent breakfast Andi & Yuki once again thank you very much for the Hospitality Stavros & Rania

This gem was fantastic! My sister and I stayed 1 day on our way to Norway for a cousin's wedding. Andy and Yuki were gracious hosts and had a phenomenal breakfast for us! The hot tub wasfilled with geothermal water from the volcanoes! They had everything you would need and it was SPOTLESS! thank you, Andy and Yuki! The hidden gem in Iceland!! Hello to Kiki and the cute calico (I don't remember her name)

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Guesthouse 1x6 with Yuki &Andy! They gave us really helpful information on how to find them, and we're both wonderful hosts. The employees of the month badges have to go to their two gorgeous moggies though! ⬛ The place was so quirky and eclectic, yet comfortable and well thought out. The bed was comfy, the geothermal pool perfect, and the complimentary coffee was first class! We opted for a pre-paid lift to the airport early morning and it totally took the stress away for us. We couldn't have wished for more from our stay!

What a great way to end our two week trip. An overnight layover in Iceland and this is the perfect place to stay for Iceland hospitality. Andy picked us up at the airport and gave us a a full tour of the 1x6. Funny guy! Quirky place with just the right amount of quirky. Bed is comfortable, pleasant surprise of homemade chocolate and a bottle of water on our door at bedtime, Andy (Comedian, hotelier, barista and chauffeur) made us espresso in the morning and got us on the final leg of our trip. Close to Keflavik Airport but a world away. Oh, and don’t miss the “blue lagoon “ just in the courtyard.

Andi and Yuki are fantastic hosts and I enjoyed being in their wonderful house. It was so clean and had such positive energy. The breakfast was best we had in Iceland, and thermal pool was great way to end the evening. It is the same water as Bluelagoon, small and just perfect. If I come back, I would only stay here. If you are looking for a more personal experience and appreciate good people with great service , don’t miss out on this experience.

We will be repeat visitors to this guesthouse when we need a place to stay before leaving Iceland. The beds are comfortable, it is very clean, and it is close to the airport. A transfer to and from the airport can be easily arranged, as long as your arrival and departure times are within their hours of service. This is their home, after all. Breakfast was the best I have ever had in my life, I'm not exaggerating, but try it for yourself and see if you agree. We enjoyed visiting with other guests while soaking in their thermal pool, open 6:00 to 10:00 in the evening. There are several restaurants within 5 to 7 minutes walking distance, one seemed fancy, with a view of the ocean. There were also several mid range and inexpensive restaurants There are not many rooms, so book early. The guests do share the bathrooms, this was not an issue at all since there are three, two downstairs, and one upstairs. We never had to wait. Andi and Yuki, the owners, were very helpful in every way. A very pleasant stay!

In short, everything was perfect! The hosts were incredibly helpful even before our stay, providing us with useful information about car rentals, attractions, and much more. Andi and Yuki are truly exceptional. They are warm-hearted, and everything was lovingly prepared and spotlessly clean, which I greatly appreciate. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We are grateful for the two nights we spent there and can highly recommend 1 x 6.
