Kelowna Bed & Breakfast - Chatham House

We booked our stay at Chatham House months in advance for our family vacation. We were very excited about the prospect of staying, the location was ideal for our purposes of being in Kelowna. Unfortunately, a few weeks before our arrival, we received an email informing us that the property was “overbooked” and thus was cancelling our reservation. The reason provided for the cancellation was overbooking. This left us in a difficult situation scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute, especially during June - peak season. Finding comparable options was very challenging and resulted in a higher price in a less desirable location. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the late cancellation caused significant stress and inconvenience for our family trip. It would have been much more appreciated if Chatham House had offered some assistance in finding alternative accommodations, especially considering the short notice. Because we were unable to stay at the property, I cannot comment on the rooms, amenities, or staff. However, this experience has unfortunately left us with a negative impression of Chatham House due to the lack of communication and help with the last-minute cancellation. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free booking experience.

Chatham House is a beautiful property an easy 20 minute walk from downtown and the lake. Our room was very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared every morning. The staff is welcoming and very helpful with suggestions and answering questions. Text messages are responded to quickly and issues immediatly resolved, in our case the t.v. remote was not working and the situation was dealt with within a few minutes. Thank you Nicholas! Our stay was perfect and it exceeded all expections. We highly recommend staying in this wonderful B and B.

Thoughtful and very tastefully appointed accommodation in all ways. Short 15 min walk to beautiful lakefront and downtown area of Kelowna. Good parking and stylish breakfasts! Thank you to Tara and the team for a really lovely 3 day stay. Would love to return.

This home was stunning and very well taken care of. The location was great, very close to downtown and City Park Beach. I stayed here for multiple months during the fall and winter and it truly did feel like a home, very welcoming. The hosts were excellent and extremely accommodating. Would absolutely recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone travelling in the Kelowna area.

Hands down, this is the best bnb I’ve ever experienced. The house is gorgeous, inside and out, and is super clean. Each room (I had the pleasure occupying all five for a family wedding) is uniquely decorated in a charming manner, yet has modern amenities and tech everywhere. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were spectacular. Homemade croissants, chia mango pudding, gluten-free waffles, and traditional bacon and eggs were just some of the fantastic dishes we enjoyed our week there. For a special treat, they will even provide charcuterie and wine. Without question, this will be the place my family will visit annually. And we are picky!

Chatham House a été l’une des plus belles découvertes de notre séjour à Kelowna! Extrêmement bien située, nous pouvions nous rendre à pieds au centre ville … à 8 minutes des restos, brasseries, plages et plus encore. Chaleureux accueil, excessivement propre, des déjeuners exquis ! Tout était PARFAIT ! Merci 1000x
