Kildare House Hotel

So rooms are really comfortable clean and tidy. There is a restaurant on site food amazing. Also a burger Pizza bar too again really good food. Staff are really accommodating with your needs. It's such a lovely relaxing place good to have a base to move around.

Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful and owners were lovely people. Food for breakfast and dinner was excellent and have no complaints. Bed was comfortable in a nice sized room.Would have no hesitation staying there again. Stephen and Mary

Booked this room months ago for a 2 b+b + 1 dinner night stay, stayed on ground floor,room only has internal window facing the hallway so no natural light and strong damp smell from bathroom,bed was comfortable,kettle and coffee machine in the room but no milk, went to bar and ordered 1 pt Heinekin + 1 soda water and lime, recieved €34.40 change from a €50,told staff that they shortchanged me and they then gave me the correct change and told me they mistakenly charged me for a spirit, we were leaving the bar at apx8.50pm when the bar manager then shouted at us in frount of everybody in the bar saying we didn't pay for our drinks, we explained to her that we had paid and were shortchanged and then given the correct change,she said that it wasn't entered on the till, we confronted the staff who served us who said we had paid, so then the manager apologised and we left the bar,so we were given change from a till that they didn't enter our payment into??? No hot water next morning for shower but was ok morning after,breakfast was excellent, staff very attentive,informed hotel manager when we checked out about bar incicent and he said he would have to check it out with the staff, and did apologise to us about it.

Lovely staff & really friendly and welcoming. It's true that the rooms are a bit small & there is no lift/elevator. It's also true that this is a really comfortable place to stay and they make amazing cocktails & amazing breakfasts. We will come back for the stress free atmosphere alone. Well done anyone who works there.

Stayed here with the family for the Kildare marathon, rooms clean and comfortable, restaurants amazing, staff fantastic. Was running the marathon, when asked reception about breakfast was told kitchen didn't open till 8am (marathon started at 8am) the staff went out of their way to accommodate my needs for a early breakfast. Fantastic service, will stay again.

This hotel was very comfortable and we were made to feel welcome throughout our stay. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Water in the room and a modern bathroom. The location is a few minutes walk from the Main Street with plenty of shops bars etc. lidl was just across the street. We ate in both restraints and the food was lovely. Both do great couples deals. The breakfast was delicious.

I recently worked at the Kildare house hotel and had a deeply disappointing experience. The management's lack of professionalism is apparent in their inability to communicate effectively; it took four days to respond to a simple email about my roster. This delay is indicative of the overall inefficiency that plagues this establishment. Moreover, the working conditions are unsafe and unacceptable. I was assigned tasks far outside my job description, such as climbing up ladders with heavy equipment onto roofs (my job description was a waiter) without proper insurance coverage. Additionally, I witnessed underage staff working behind the bar, which raises serious concerns about compliance with labor laws and the general disregard for employee welfare. The kitchen, where food is prepared, is in a filthy condition, posing serious health and safety risks. The overall mismanagement and neglectful practices make this a place I cannot recommend to anyone, whether as a place of employment or as an establishment to visit.I hope this feedback is taken seriously and prompts much-needed improvements in the management and operation of the Kildare house hotel

Outstandingly helpful and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Room comfortable and clean in a recently added wing with excellent en suite facility. # Blade of beef on the menu was absolutely divine, had it 4 nights! Wish I had requested the recipe...!! Hotel comfortable, areas for small groups to gather and chat or larger areas for bigger groups. Worth a mention special mention is Kelly, she went over and above to ensure our car club stay went so well.... the whole experience was a credit to them. Failte Ireland should take note.

The hotel hosted our club for a 5 day car tour of the Gordon Bennett Route and local area. There were 20 cars and 40 people. Kelly, Martin and the staff were simply brilliant, we experienced great service from the minute we got there, the food was excellent in terms of choice, quality and quantity. We had some members with detailed personal dietary requirements and these were all dealt with fully and very efficiently. This is a family run hotel and gave us the real flavour of Irish hospitality. As the tour organiser (for the first time) I have no hesitation in recommending the Kildare House Hotel to anyone, they made bringing a group on a tour so much easier. The location is in an ideal base for exploring the Ancient East and is less than an hour from Dublin but is out of range of the capital city's price hikes.
