We were a tad bit disappointed to see that there were signs on the front door stating they were under renovation but were ready to live with that. Upon arriving Kevin was behind the front desk. He barely acknowledged me and seemed quite uninterested in assisting me to check in. He asked for my phone number and I've stayed at many hotels and hadn't been asked this previously so I said "oh..why do you need that?"...and he simply grunted and proceeded to write something down . He asked me to initial and sign a paper ...I inquired as to what I was asked to sign (I didn't have my glasses on so couldn't read it) and he said he couldn't tell me....so I proceeded to get my glasses. I noticed that he'd hand-written something on the paper and it said something like "guest refused to give phone number"...I was appalled !...I'd never "refused", I simply asked "why"....When we got to our room, the TV didn't work so my husband called and dealt w/Kevin. We were given a different room. The whole experience was incredibly uncomfortable. As a hotel goes, it does need quite a bit of updating. The breakfast was less than average. As we left I spoke w/the Assistant Manager, just sharing my experience, and she was super nice.
