La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kingsville

Study a number of reviews before selecting this hotel. When we arrived, there were no facial tissues in the room and we were told none were available in all the hotel. Then we discovered there were only 3 hangers in the closet and were told no more were available. The safe did not work; probably just dead batteries. However, the next morning, the maintenance man came and discovered none of his wrenches would work on the safe. There were no pod trays for the coffee maker and only one pod of coffee in the room. The desk phone was dead; the one by the bed worked. On the other hand, the hotel seemed clean and the breakfast was good. I stayed there 5 years ago and had no problems, so this was frustrating. We will not be back, even though we are Wyndham members.

First room the ac was dumping all the water into the carpet and smelled awful. Second room ac not working properly. Third room was king size bed had to fit all 4 in one bed. Didn’t get sleep at all

For the last 2 years while visiting our daughter at the local university we have stayed at this hotel. When we arrived we hauled our stuff up to our room because the dolly was missing apparently a guest left it in their room. That night after visiting our daughter and having dinner we went back to the hotel and was in the process of turning on the shower and the shower knob was broken. It was corroded and wouldn't work. It obviously had been broken for a while. We went down stairs where a lady was working the desk barely understood English but would say she would have someone look at it tomorrow. We wanted showers then because we were going out early the next morning and didn't want to wait on someone to come fix it. She did move us to another room where again the dolly was missing so we had to haul all our stuff up 2 more floors. The lady at the front desk said she would take care of everything. We assumed we wouldn't have been charged for all the trouble we dealt with. That was not the case. We were still charged. I know there is no way the cleaning staff didn't notice the broken shower. It has been broken for a while. And since it was broken how did they clean the shower. Why did the front desk put us in a room like that. Did they not think we would want a shower. There are several hotels in the area, we may start looking at staying there next time. Because this is not the first time we have had a problem with a room. This all stems from irresponsible management and ownership.

This hotel was a great stop on way to South Padre Island. Good room, clean pool and no issues. Friendly staff who were very helpful at getting us extra pillows and a TV that worked.

For $100/night I expect a much better quality hotel. My reservation was incorrect, but was fixed on the road trip there. I reserved a king room with step in shower. The room was not up to standards at all. The entry light was not working, the shower door was rusted as well as the seal falling off. There was a huge unidentified stain on the sofa cushion (blood, poop, juice...who knows), all the drawer handles were rusted, & sheetrock peeling off the wall and laying on the floor. The hallway carpets were all stained & not vacuumed and the wallpaper on the 1st floor was peeling off. The only things I enjoyed were breakfast & staff friendliness. The hotel is in dire need of an update.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. From the outside, I could tell that the hotel had been updated. The lobby and food area are nice and modern. Check-in was efficient. When I made it to the room, at first glance, it was lovely. The restroom looked well-maintained until I looked at the shower. It had rust stains and did not look sanitary. It almost appeared that all other areas were redesigned and updated except the shower. The bed was fine, and I slept well. I did not use the shower at all. I do not plan to return.

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, the included breakfast offered a variety of hot and cold foods, the workout room was functional, and it is pet friendly. Will definitely stay here again!!

One great hotel they all care for us like family and everything is clean in the hotel and they get us fast in the rooms and give us everything we need and greet us to the rooms and the rooms are so clean

Great place to stay staff was so friendly and helpful nice and clean hotel We will definitely stay again Breakfast was great they had hot breakfast every morning Pool kids perfect my kids enjoyed it checking and check out was Great and staff was so helpful
