Awful—a few examples will highlight how woefully short of adequate this hotel stay has been:
(1) The TV was left on in our room when we checked in but there was no remote controller to be found. After checking to make sure that it was not our oversight, we called the front desk. They brought us a remote controller and left. It didn’t work—because there were no batteries. We called them again and they told us to pull the electrical cord to turn off the tv. We told them we didn’t know where their cord is and that it is unacceptable to expect their guests to look around for electrical points. They came up again and told us there were no batteries in the entire hotel.
(2) We booked a family room—it should at least have amenities for 3 but there were only bath towels for 2. We asked them to bring us 3 more towels—they told us the standard issue is 2 towels and the additional towels we requested never arrived so we resorted to using hand towels.
(3) The toilet paper roll was only half a roll and there were no extra rolls. Fortunately, we had our own half roll that we could use when it ran out.
These would not have been so awful if they had bothered to fix any of these deficiencies the next day. In spite of our clear complaint—they did not provide us with the:
(1) Missing remote controller;
(2) Extra towels for our family; or
(3) Extra roll of toilet paper (the new toilet roll was again only half a roll and once more, we were lucky to have other other roll of toilet paper to use when it ran out.
At check out, nothing was asked about our experience—clearly they did not care. And so in the hopes that no one else is under the same misimpression as I was when I booked this hotel (based on the shockingly high rating), I am writing this review to let others know.
