We were 2 families travelling with an infant to Dholavira on the 12th January, 2024, for which we had booked Praveg Luxury Resort through the hotel website by making full payment, one month in advance. We had a long travel from Rajkot to Dholavira (7 hours) and just before reaching the Khadir Bet (while still our mobile had network), we received a call from the sales team that they would not be able to accommodate us that night as 4 of their cottages had short circuit (no electricity). The sales person Ms Deepali mentioned we would be shifted to Dholavira Resort which on the very day room cost was one-third of what we had paid Praveg upfront. It would definitely be much cheaper if booked a month in advance. Ms Deepali mentioned that she had made the reservations. After entering Kadir Bet, we had no mobile network so was not sure where to land up late that evening, so we went to Praveg. There we came to know that the staff there had no clue of any short circuit. All they mentioned is that they did not have any empty room for allotment which could be a result of over booking/ group booking at the Resort. The receptionist called the Manager and none could do anything than giving us an escort to go to the alternate resort. Little did we realize that this was just the starting of the greatest woes that ruined our much anticipated trip. We went to Dholavira resort at 8:30pm, where we came to know that they received no information about incoming Guests from Praveg and they were fully booked and had no room to alot us. So we went from one resort to the other and ultimately found a small tiny empty room at Rann resort. This Rann resort welcomed us with great hospitality but the room was way below our expectation. But we were grateful not having to spend the night in the car or worst return to Bhuj with an tired infant late that night. My intention of writing this long review is how careless, irresponsible the sales team of Praveg could be who first presented a false case of overbooking as a electrical glitch and did nothing to help us overcome the situation. Moreover even after a month we did not get a single penny as refund (to adjust the difference in price between the 2 resorts) which was assured over a distressed phone call. Praveg resorts are a fraud and I would urge readers to refrain from choosing this Resort as looks can be deceptive. Our experience makes me wonder how is this place even striving with such poor hospitality.
