SO'LODGE Hôtel Niort A83

We booked in advance and stayed here for one Saturday night in July 22. Here are a few pointers that may assist, when considering a stay. 1. The hotel is very easy to find and is close to the motorway. Better positioned than other motels we have stayed at in Niort. 2. The directions the hotel sent us beforehand were very clear and very helpful. 3. Remember this a cheap budget hotel and the room size relects that. Noise was not an issue for us, but if the people upstairs did hold a 2.00 am party I suspect you would hear them. 4. Our room was clean, comfortable and felt Covid Safe. 5. The air-conditioning worked well. The room also had tea and coffee facilities plus proper mugs rather than plastic / paper cups. It also had two second pillows if needed. 6. It did not have a room safe, or a wide selection of tea and coffee. Bring your own favourite tea bags. e.g. British Breakfast Tea. 7. Next door to the hotel is a small independent restaurant. Our meal was very good and not expensive. Seating both inside and outside. It was very popular so it maybe worth booking in advance, or at least upon arrival. 8. Breakfast was very good, particularly for a budget hotel. Recommended. 9. Plenty of free car parking space by the hotel. 10. This appears to be a very popular family friendly hotel. During our stay there were lots of very well behaved young children. 11. Finally I don't like automatic check ins. I can handle the process, just, but do like to be able to ask a question or two if needed. In summary, it is likely we will stay here again.

After I booked and discovered it was automatic check in, I was a bit worried in case there was a problem and my French wasn’t up to it but when we arrived, there was a really lovely lady on reception. Check in was easy. The rooms were fairly small (mind your knees when closing the toilet door) but clean. My husband said he felt like he was in a shipping container but I think that is a bit extreme. A bit heavy on the air freshener but we opened the door for a little while and it improved. The room was basic but really close to the motorway without being right next to it. There was a kettle and tea/coffee so everything we needed for a one night stay. We would use this hotel again.

Very friendly welcome, good rates, bed and shower perfect, nice restaurant on the premises. No luxury accommodation but everything you need while travelling. Clean, cozy, and excellent breakfast. Free parking.

Overnachtingshotel op terugweg naar huis. Top ligging langs de autobaan. Geen personeel aanwezig, volledig geautomatiseerd . Opzich werkt dat prima maar we hadden een probleem met de kamer (sleutel tussendeur miste) en dan is het moeilijk om iemand te bereiken. Uiteindelijk wel opgelost met de rode noodtelefoon bij de kiosk. Bedden lagen super. Douche prima. Het is eenvoudig maar goed. Ontbijt super! Spek met ei, croissants en goede koffie. Zeker een aanrader.

Super hôtel sur la route des vacances! Chambre de 13,50m² lit de 180! Très confortable. Le petit déjeuner à seulement 9€ avec un choix formidable. Des œufs, des saucisses du bacon, du pain frais et bon, des viennoiseries, confiture yaourt salade de fruits....bref ultra complet pour ce prix. En plus les propriétaires sont charmants.

Très propre et bien situé, cet hôtel est idéal pour une halte sur la route des vacances J'ai déjà séjourné dans cet établissement pour le travail, j'y suis revenu avec ma tribu car c'est un excellent rapport qualité-prix Restaurant de l'hôtel très bien également
