Hotel Lac Brome

Nous avons eu des problématiques avec la chambre, par exemple la toilette brisée et des prises de courant non fonctionnelles, sinon de la moisissure dans les contours de fenêtres et porte-patios. Sinon le petit déjeuner inclus était très bien, super simple mais frais, bon et complet. Le rez-de chaussée est très vieux, l'hôtel aurait besoin d'un rafraîchissement à plusieurs endroits. Pour l'emplacement par contre, c'est super. Donc en gros, la propreté et certains ajustements devraient être repensés pour que les gens apprécient leur séjour.

Big comfortable rooms, wonderful sauna and steam room, and hot jacuzzi outdoors for snowy weather . View over the lake beautiful even in winter, and a short drive to picturesque Knowlton. Above all, kind helpful attentive staff. We’ll be back there next winter for sure.

We were in the area for a couple of days for a family event and this hotel was perfect. The rooms were spacious, very clean and very comfortable. The desk staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. There was some confusion (our fault, not theirs) regarding other family members who were staying and the staff dealt with the situation professionally and with sensitivity. The complementary breakfast buffet was also very good with a selection of cheeses, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, juices and coffee. I was also happy to have nespresso machines and pods in the room. I would definitely stay here again when I am next in the area. Hopefully the road construction will be completed soon.

Would stay at the hotel was very pleasant. Rooms were clean and concierges were extremely helpful in providing us with directions and suggestions to get around road construction on nearby road. We were very happy to find a burning outside firepit lit and waiting for us to enjoy as we returnd from our supper. Special appreciation to Abdel who went above and beyond when he arranged for my forgotten book to be shipped back to me. It's a lovely hotel and we look forward to returning!

We were initially impressed and then less so when you start noticing that efforts have been made to make it look renewed but that in fact the effort was only half hearted. Whoever designed the bathroom should have actually used it before finalizing the design..awkward placement of the sink made it tough to work with. The shower is all gizmo’d up but has no pressure. The hotel itself looks like it’s falling apart and this is a shame as it has such potential. The front desk people are nice but their kindness alone wouldn’t have me running back. It’s great for a one night stay but I wouldn’t stay a whole week. Had breakfast and I had to keep asking for syrup for the pancake and I was made to wait…they come prepackaged and we were the only people in the restaurant and they still managed to get the order wrong. So wouldn’t eat there again. And even the restaurant is trying to look high end while it’s far from high end. It’s a shame really. For a last minute one night stay I would go back but unfortunately it would te my first choice.

Short version: overpriced. Long version: staff were very pleasant. However, rooms are advertised as “luxury” (luxueuses). There was NO luxury in our room. The room was very spacious, but sparsely furnished (bed and two very small, side tables; one desk with straight-back chair; one armoire with mini fridge). No easy chair. The bathroom was dated and is in serious need of a refresher/update: tiny bathroom, tiny vanity, older tub and fixtures, peeling wallpaper. My husband and I found the bed uncomfortable (too soft), but I concede that that is personal. The hotel staff was very kind and proud about the amenities: hot tub, sauna, fitness centre. These are nice to have, but when I book a hotel room, my primary need and concern is my room and getting a good night’s sleep—which should be any hotel operator’s primary focus, really. I found my experience at Hotel Lac Brome lacking and disappointing. All in all, I would say that the hotel was way overpriced. I don’t feel like I got value for the money I paid. I would not recommend.

At check in the girl was very polite. She explained everything to me. Gave me my keys and told me breakfast was at 7. Got to the room. Still dirty, cobwebs on light fixtures and no soap in shower. First morning i go and speak to front desk. I get there and two men are sitting and having a coffee. They dont even awknowledge me until i talk. I later found out the rude condescending one was the director who even the manager and other staff complained to me about him how he is rude and not professional. I asked them for soap which i was told there is some. I explained that if there was soap i would not be coming to ask you for some. I also then stated that for the price of the hotel i should not have to ask for soap. I was told that that is not an expensive rate as if i am poor or something. Weird i have stayed at many other hotels for half the price that actually give breakfast and are clean and i do not have to ask for anything. I then saw that the breakfast place was closed until 8 which is weird because on the website it also states 7 am. I confirmed with the man at the desk and again as if i was bothering him. I left and came back as i was staying 4 nights. So the room was not cleaned up the garbage and when i got back to the room there was a little bar of soap on the door handle in a bag. A pump was not installed as i was told it would be. The next day we left again and came back and our room again was not cleaned. Weird because we did put the sign to do so. So again we left and came back and to our surprise the room key did not work. We started to panick because it was past midnight and there is no staff i think after 11. For what you pay you think they can afford that. So we kept calling the emergency number and no one answered. After about 10 -15 minutes we got the night guard who let us in our room and to our surprise our garbage was still there. The best part was the toilet paper was not refilled… but the cherry on top i guess knowing it was our last night the cleaning person took the tip envelope and put it on the center of the desk instead of the corner and places my items around the envelope making sure i would see it . What amazing service. In the morning i went to the fromt desk and had maggie. What a wonderful polite change. She explained that the shampoo was a body wash also which i do not know why the director of the hotel did not explain she also was not impressed how my room was or the service i received. She went and got me toilet paper apologized and offered to refund me for one night. I even told her i used a third party to book would it be a problem for the refund she said no. I gave her about a week but no refund. I constantly called, left messages on a voicemail, with employees also was told by employees maggie is working this day call back and so on. After a month of no returns finally i got brian. He was condescending and rude and i am assuming he is the director. He would ask questions where did i keave my messages

We were supposed to go in September, received a booking confirmation and everything, only to receive an email in my junk folder a week after the fact saying they have no rooms, so the booking confirmation is not valid. Had I not checked my junk folder I never would have seen this and we would be stranded........................very disappointed and NOT impressed

TERRIBLE! The worst service I’ve received in my life! I booked a room back in April since I had a wedding close by. ON THE DAY OF, I called the hotel around noon to confirmed the check-in time: the gentleman confirmed it was 4pm. I asked if it was possible to check-in earlier and he verified but confirmed that the room would most-likely not be ready as there was someone staying in it and that they needed time to clean before I arrive. Up until now everything is fine, I totally understand. THEN comes 4pm and AS I AM PULLING INTO THE PARKING LOT I receive a phone call from the Hotel saying that THEY WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO GIVE ME A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT because there was some damages in my room and that the Hotel was completely booked. Disappointed and puzzled as why they waited until 4pm to tell me this, I asked if they could help me out or accommodate me since I booked 4 months ago and that I’ve already paid for my room, but they said NO sorry! REALLY??!??!?! That’s the kind of service they offer! Since all the other Hotels around were fully booked, I had to drive 2hours to go back home after the wedding. And now 3 phone calls later, STILL TRYING TO GET MY MONEY BACK… Thank you so much Hotel suites lac-Brome for wasting my time and LITERALLY NOTHING!
