It's a parador so you expect quality and you most certainly get that. A truly stunning building complemented by excellence in food, wine and customer service. We have stayed in many paradores and this ranks at the very top. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Parador de Lerma, our only regret is that we were only staying one night. Five stars seems rather mean, I would happily award this parador and it's staff TEN stars

Well positioned and well appointed parador. Bar service was slow and at times did not happen as too few staff for the numbers requiring service.

Only downside was a rather glum receptionist and the square in front of hotel was stuffed with tourists cars. No hotel reserved parking. Don’t know if it is Spanish law but “friends of the Paradors” shouldn’t have to show passports, fill out all the paperwork again, since all this information is on your database.

We recently stayed at the Parador de Lerma, and it was a unique experience steeped in history. The hotel is located in a beautiful former ducal palace, and the grand architecture and historical details truly make it stand out. The building itself is stunning, with its impressive courtyards and elegant design, transporting you back in time. Our room was spacious and clean, with traditional decor that matched the historic feel of the property. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and the room had all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. That said, while the charm of the old-world style was appreciated, some areas of the room could benefit from a bit of modernization, especially the bathroom, which felt a bit dated. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of local products, from fresh pastries to traditional Spanish dishes. Except for the eggs that have to be ordered to the waiter. The hotel’s location in the town of Lerma is ideal for a peaceful getaway. It's a quiet and picturesque place, perfect for exploring the town’s historic center, with its cobblestone streets and charming squares. For those looking to explore further, the Parador is well-located for day trips to nearby towns and attractions. The staff at Parador de Lerma were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provided great recommendations for local sights and made sure we were comfortable. Overall, Parador de Lerma is a great option for anyone looking to experience a blend of history, culture, and relaxation. While the rooms could use a few updates, the beauty of the building, the excellent food, and the peaceful setting made our stay enjoyable and memorable.
