I picked this hotel to stay at for one night because it was close by to my friend's wedding venue. The family of the bride provided the information months in advance because they reserved a room block for guests traveling in, and said there would be a shuttle to take us to the venue, so I had called and created a reservation back in May. Fast forward to the DAY BEFORE I'm flying in for the wedding in August, I called the Customer Care phone number to confirm the reservation, but the gentleman I spoke with COULD NOT FIND IT AT ALL and was so confused with what a "room block" was. Once that was resolved, he confirmed that there WOULD BE a shuttle to take me to the venue. The next day, I flew in and arrived at the lobby to find NO ONE sitting at the front desk. If you knew there were many people checking in that day for an event, wouldn't you be responsible enough to keep someone at the desk?!?! Finally after I had gotten a maintenance worker to get someone, this woman took 5 minutes to come out, strolled slowly over and didn't even apologize for her lack of service (I later learned that SHE IS THE MANAGER!!) While she was checking me in, I specified that I’m part of the wedding room block and asked her about the shuttle, and she HAD NO IDEA what I was talking about. I tried to explain, but she just kept shutting me down and repeating how there’s no shuttle. I was getting SO FRUSTRATED because she WASN’T OFFERING ANY WAY TO HELP me (like a real respectable manager would), so I asked her to call the mother of the bride, which she did, and when she didn't answer she just hangs up the phone and says to me “she didn't answer". So I now had to be the one to tell her how to do her job and asked her to call back again and leave a voicemail, and she hands me the phone for me to do it (because yea sure that's MY job). When I got the mother of the bride on the phone, she explained that it'd be through a separate service that would be coming to the hotel. So the HOTEL MANAGER was able to find the mother of the bride's phone number, but couldn't just take a few more minutes to check her system to see if there was anything about a shuttle coming to the hotel SHE MANAGES to pick up her guests?!?!?! SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL. Now onto my arrival to my room….at the FIRST GLANCE it looked clean, didn't smell, carpet wasn't stained, very tidy, so I thought I would be able to let go of the EXTREME LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. As I'm getting ready to go down to the lobby, I found a SOILED ADULT DIAPER shoved in the back of where FRESH TOWELS were held under the sink!!!! But it doesn't even end there, because later that night when I got back and was getting ready to go to sleep, one of the bed pillows had HUGE RED STAINS (was possibly DRIED BLOOD!!!) on the back of it.
