The hotel was great and I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Lille. It is super close to the Eurostar station and also a short walk into town. The hotel was clean and the staff really helpful

Kamers tof ingericht en aangenaam. Zeer praktisch dat je de hele nacht lang kan inchecken. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Hôtel au top, une très bonne expérience. Très bien situé, à côté du vieux Lille et de la gare.

Hotel design récent bien situé en centre ville à deux pas de la gare. Chambre spacieuse et décorée avec goût. Bar avec terrasse, beau restaurant dans l'hôtel. Idéal pour un week-end dans la capitale des Flandres.

We went here for 3 nights. Location is great. Staff very friendly. Good bed and shower. Tasty breakfast. The airco didn't work properly but with an open window the temperature was good for us. In summer it probably isn't comfortable. No kettle in the room.

Great hotel, what is not to like ? Our room was a good size with all amenities. The car park was safe and secure. Restaurant and bar were good, we had a nice meal and enjoyed our cocktails. Rowan was a great waiter!!!! We would recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in Lille

We stayed at Mama Shelter Lille for 2 nights from 6-8 Aug. Everything was great. Staff were helpful. However, when we checked out, they didn’t provide us with the invoice but only said they would deduct 80 euros from my deposit. They said they would send us the receipt with breakdown soon. Turned out they overcharged us for one day breakfast which we didn’t take. They said they would send us revised invoice and arranged refund. We chased them 3 times but nothing was heard at all. And of course no refund! Stay away unless you are prepared to talk to the air and have your card overcharged.

Hotel is OK but the themes are odd. Why tacky plastic masks fastened on bed light shades? Why black ***** in glass cabinet downstairs? Screams tackiness. Bar facilities are good, but be prepared to wait for service. Hotel room was clean. Loud though. Air-conditioning needs to be serviced as room was still hot despite AC being on. Can’t open window either due to mosquitoes.

We had a horrible experience with Mama Shelter Lille. We got stranded in Lille so booked last minute, which was only possible through *********** with prepayment. When we arrived late in the evening with our children it turned out there was a very loud dance party going on in the hotel, reception area and bar. Our rooms would be just above this. One member of reception staff laughed with us for being so stupid to prepay, said there was nothing to be done, and continued chewing gum and slopping on his chair, smirking and oggling the party-goers. It was like standing with the children and our bags in a very loud and sleezy night club, and I stood there for an hour with the basses banging on my ears while his colleague did try to fix things, but he couldn't contact anyone from the hotel or do anything or wasn't allowed to do anything at all, except in the end find us another hotel because by then it was after midnight and I couldn't book anything else anymore. Tried to call them several times today about my refund, but no one picked up the phone. If you want to try sleeping in a loud night club with funky furniture, this is your place. If not, or if you are traveling with children, best to stay away. It's not for you. Wish we knew. I am still trying to get my money back...

Fabulous stay for a long weekend. This is a modern and fun hotel in a great location. It’s a great place for a weekend with mates exploring Lille. Amazing breakfast with lovely details - proper coffees, good butter, excellent pastries and fresh bread, and a deliciously refreshing fruit salad. All the food and drink we had was great quality. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms were great, nice comfy beds, lovely bedding and decent showers. I would like to see some more surfaces or storage for personal items in the rooms. In room tea and coffee making facilities would be nice too. This hotel would not suit everyone due to the lively late night music, but we loved it. Every night started with cocktails in the bar before going out to explore. We would definitely return again. We loved Mama!

Straightforward and comfortable. This is a no nonsense and tidy hotel close to the Eurostar station, large shopping centre, and old town. The rooms are clean and functional, with essentials, but no fancy touches. Stylishly unfinished concrete walls, and simple furnishings.

We went to this hotel on two separate occasion in October. Whilst the hotel itself was fine and the staff good it let its self down by the cleanliness of the bath rooms. we stayed in rooms 602/404 and on both occasions the toilets were disgusting and filthy (they probably still are!). Superficial cleaning had been done but no effort to ensure thoroughly clean. We also had a tube of toothpaste take from the room after the cleaners had been in! Not impressed for a quite expensive hotel.

Absolutely looooved staying at Mama Shelter Lille. Cocktails at the secret sunset party on the roof were 👌👌👌. Make sure you COME HUNGRY for the incredible brunch. There was one dish that was just a giant freshly baked cookie 🤯 - staff all so efficient and kind, special hat tip to Matthieu, Mika and Ludo, thank you for such a great weekend.
