Villa Barranco by Ananay Hotels

My daughter and I enjoyed a 2 night stay at Villa Barranco in a spacious Junior Suite off the garden. We loved everything about this property –– the beautiful breakfasts, the rooftop patio, the quiet location, but most of all, the attentive owners and staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel like family. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up changing our Cusco hotel to the Ananay Palacio Manco Capac. Note: We stayed our first night in Lima at the Hotel B, which is also a lovely property, but it was Villa Barranco that stole our hearts.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a beautiful villa. The hotel has fabulous interior decorating. A tasty breakfast is served in the front room and adjacent terrace with very personalised service. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. At the roofterrace they serve a great Pisco Sour.

Pros: - A unique, exclusive setting with private garden for breakfast - The hotel offered free bikes that were quite comfortable to ride - The decorations were beautiful and authentic - Breakfast offerings were limited but tasty: custom-made egg dishes & cake of the day & fresh fruits - Unlimited filtered water & coffee & tea at all times - Great service from Monica & Frank & Julio Cons: - It was hard to locate this hotel with no signs in a residential neighborhood - The room we had was small with no storage, 2 stools for night tables, 1 tiny trash can with a hard-to-open lid, very limited number of electrical outlets, & no desk. - Bathroom was big but the hooks for towels were rusty, the shower drain was clogged, and there were no facial tissues.

During our recent trip to Lima, we had the pleasure of staying at Villa Barranca, and it was an experience that surpassed all our expectations. The rooms at Villa Barranca are incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and exude a sense of elegance and comfort that made our stay truly luxurious. Every detail in the room, from the stylish decor to the quality of the furnishings, reflects a high standard of taste and care. We felt like we were in a home away from home, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy our time in the city. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. Every morning, we were treated to a freshly prepared meal that was both delicious and satisfying. The variety of options, coupled with the freshness of the ingredients, made it the perfect way to start our day. The attention to detail in the presentation and the friendly service made the breakfast experience even more special. The overall ambiance of Villa Barranca is one of sophistication and warmth, making it an ideal place for anyone looking to enjoy a blend of luxury and comfort during their stay in Lima. We highly recommend Villa Barranca to anyone visiting Lima and look forward to returning ourselves

Excellent hotel in a nice part of Lima. Rooms are very good , comfortable beds and spacious. Only a few rooms so quite intimate and the breakfast is very good . We went to the roof top bar once which was also very good. I would highly recommend this property.

-Great Place -Service, Food, Coziness are all spot on. -Comfy beds and pillows and very hot shower with great water pressure. -The 24 hour desk service is a great plkus as we checked in late and then left early. Will most certainly visit again next time in town.

What an incredibly beautiful hotel. We wish we had stayed more than one night, especially as Lima historical area is about an hour away. This is a fabulous small hotel, with attentive staff, gorgeous rooms, fantastic breakfast. Barranco is the best area to stay in too, as less commercial with some lovely restaurants.

We absolutely loved this hotel- probably the best city hotel we stayed in throughout our trip to Chile, Bolivia and Peru. The minute you walk through the door you feel at home in this beautiful former mansion. We were told the owners rescued it from its dilapidated state and they’ve done a fantastic job. Everything is in keeping with the period of the house and both the public areas and the rooms contain interesting articles such as antique leather suitcases, old birdcages, traditional indigenous artefacts etc. The manager gave us such a warm welcome and all the staff were delightful. For breakfast you sit round a big square table with 4 or 5 other guest which is a nice opportunity to share travellers’ tales and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. You can ask for any cooked breakfast you like or if you prefer you can choose a continental breakfast including delicious fresh fruit . The hotel is in a cool boho area of Lima with very nice cafes and restaurants nearby and beautiful colonial houses - some of them the mansions of the many mining millionaires who from the late 19th century made their fortunes. A fabulous experience all round and we wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights.

Security is tight here, can't just walk in you need to ring the bell on the street and you will be let in. It's a type of Bohemian area and up and coming, I liked it but my husband not keen on Boutique type hotels. We had a Garden Room with the french doors opening out, but didn't chance leaving them open whilst sleeping so no fresh air from a window? Shower room and toilet was massive, lots of wasted space, but it was different. Breakfast was fabulous with a massive blueberry cake in the middle of the table, delicious. Enjoyed this hotel in this different area of Barranco in Lima.
