I’ve traveled a lot, most recently spending a month in Portugal. I’ve never in my entire life had such a terrible experience with an apartment. The fact that they call this a “four star hotel” is laughable. The service is absolutely terrible. Impossible to reach the management company. When we arrived, the bathroom smelled worse than most underground clubs I’ve been in. I have seriously been in portable toilets that smelled better than this bathroom. It is nearly impossible to relax when getting ready for the day in the shower because of the horrible odor and stench. When contacted about the issue, our WhatsApp message was read and ignored. Then on day 2 of an 11 day stay, the elevator went out. Having a lift was a big choice in selecting this apartment because I have a leg injury. When contacted on day 2, they took 24 hours to respond and said they would call for repair immediately. After 7 more days, still no repair. Being five floors up and having to manage stairs every time I need to leave or carry in groceries or luggage has been a nightmare. They are very stern about keeping noise to a minimum, but the windows don’t keep any sound out from the bars or club below. And the hard wood floors squeak and creak almost every step you take. It is impossible to get out of bed for a drink in the night without waking my wife. They provided only 2 towels for an 11 day stay. What?? The one nice thing about the stay is that the kitchen and dining room is well stocked with the things you need to cook. But there are no small touches like coffee or coffee pods, tea, anything. Overall the worst things about this stay are the smell, slow response time, and inadequate communication about fixing the elevator. I would not recommend anyone stay in this building while it’s under this property management. The smell. Oh god the smell. Do not stay here. You will regret it.
