Our first stay at The Somerset Hotel. Very much appreciated the porters taking our suitcases to our room for us on arrival. Our twin room was of adequate size, warm, with a lovely sea view. Bathroom was always chilly as it did not have heating, so stepping out of the hot shower was an uncomfortable chilly experience. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The quality of food for the evening meal was a disappointment. If you like tinned veg and processed food, you'll be fine. The hotel is in a perfect location for the high street, pier and local bus stops. The Great Orme Tram is also a short walk away. The positives far out weight the negatives, which is why I recommend this hotel.

Went for Turkey and Tinsel with my sister and was lucky enough have a lovely sea view which sat looking at quite a bit. Room had sink in bit unusual. Meals good very friendly staff lovely waiter Corey. Bar staff very good to especially the lady unfortunately can’t remember her name. Snacks very nice in the snack bar and very friendly lady serving. Nice touch before getting on the coach manager welcomed us and then said farewell when we left. Would go again.

This hotel's greatest asset is the staff, they were without exception friendly and helpful. The rest of the story is not so good. You need to order your breakfast the previous evening, and you order your lunch and dinner at breakfast. Even having preordered your meal, the service is chaotic. It is not unusual to have to wait up to 40 minutes between ending one course and the next being served. On the last day of the holiday, breakfast is served earlier at 8 a.m., but the hotel has to be completely vacated by 9 a.m. even if you are still eating. The rooms are adequate and the beds are comfortable it is unfortunate that in our room on the third floor the hot water only worked until 10.00 am and the cold water only just trickled out of the tap. I will not be in a rush to go back.

I am doing this for a friend Not the best hotel at all, Dec 2024 This hotel was terrible, the food was so bad that on Christmas Day evening the chicken was not even cooked, it was frozen chicken goujons and they was raw in side, and people was eating them until someone opened one and they was red and still frozen inside, someone went to show the manager and then the chef came out to every table and took them, what a food poisoning start to end Christmas Day. My shower was dirty as the water would not go down the drain, so I picked it up and it was so dirty/black and full of hair, not nice at all, some staff was ok as others was rude. We went full board but never got a dinner if we went out on the coach, we never got even a pack lunch when asked they said we do not do them, but we are full board. We should have left by 10am on the day of leaving but they kicked us all out by 9am and gave no reason why. Would never stay there again

My partner & I have just returned from a holiday at the Somerset Hotel in Llandudno & I must say that it was a terrible experience. The meals served were possibly the worst food we have ever had in a hotel. I doubt that there is anyone working in the the kitchen who has ever had any training in food preparation / presentation. Dirty crockery , long waits for service at meal times , utter chaos when it came to organising a Christmas day evening buffet (people queuing in line for half hour to then find no food left) Dirty bedding , towels not changed during our stay. A change of management would probably be a good way to start any changes for the better.

Very nice hotel excellent customer service from the staff I recommend this hotel if you are staying in Llandudno. Very nice food rooms are very nice with best service you can get. Very nice location with everything nearby it ticks all the boxes.

We had a Very good break and enjoyed the entertainment. The food could have been better. The room was warm and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the service provided was more than we could have hoped for. Carry on the good work, we will definitely be back.

First time I have used Daish's and stayed in your hotel and it won't be the last. Very friendly staff, hotel clean and toasty warm. I know single rooms are small but this one had a longer feel so not to cramped except the shower cubicle. Bathroom suite looked new. Good tv with all the freeview channels. Food was enjoyable, plenty of it and hot. We struggled with our 6 seater table because it was positioned with the chairs almost touching the wall so trying to leave was awkward to say the least! We had to disturb the people by our side and they moved away from the table just to allow us to leave by sideways shuffling between chairs and table. For disabled people this would have been extremely difficult. It just felt like too many tables crammed in. Some coach companies stagger the meal times so overcrowding is avoided. Luckily it didn't spoil our experience and I would definitely return. Sooner the better!
