Hotel was literally a 5 minute walk from Farringdon tube stop.On arrival there were self check in machines, however these didn’t pick up my business booking so had to see a helpful man (apologies, forgot the name, I think it began with a V) who promptly got me checked in. Upon arrival at the room it was small but certainly made the most out of the space available, there was a double bed with all light & air con controls built into the headboard, a large tv on the wall and a pull out table at the bottom of the bed. There wasn’t much of a view as the window is mainly frosted and there was no kettle, but you could get free hot drinks in the bar downstairs. The bathroom had a shower, sink and a toilet, pretty standard setup. The duvet you have to put on the bed yourself but it is already rolled up ready to be unbuttoned and simply placed onto the bed. I thought the food menu was pretty limited so headed to grab some food at Exmouth market, simply out the main door, swing a right and you stumble into it about 2 minutes walk away. After food I had a quick pint in the hotel bar, took longer to get served than drink my beer, reasonably priced at £6.65 for a Moretti. The bed itself was very comfortable, slept fine and the shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The following morning I had breakfast, the hot offering was simply Bacon, Sausage (vegetarian available), Scrambled Eggs, Beans there was plenty of continental offerings. Issues - lack of staff job role. Many seemed to be doing multiple things such as cleaning, serving drinks, serving food, greeting guests so sometimes others were unnecessary waits - each member to staff taking on 1 defined role would help address this. My toilet was not clean for arrival, the shower floor got wet as the screen doesn’t go all the way to the wall. That said, I would stay here again as the stay itself overall was fine.
