Hub by Premier Inn London Covent Garden

Excellent location. The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The tea and coffee station in the lounge area was always well-maintained, and being able to take a cup to go for free was a nice touch. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

I've kept an extra star for the location, couldn't be any more central without being on top of Nelsons Column! Rooms are small but I've had smaller, even better the bathroom is a separate room rather than a pod type you get in other similar hotel chains. Breakfast was decent for the price, no hot food but a reasonable selection of fruit, pastries, cereal, etc. However, the first nights stay, the fire alarm went off twice in quick succession with no explanations or communications, rather annoying. I woke up on the first morning to a barely lukewarm shower and no hot water in the sink either. Reported it to reception who promised to pass it on to maintenance...they either don't exist or I was lied to because there was no hot water the next day either. Consequently, I had no shower before I left. If I hadn't been checking out, I'd have played war and switched rooms. So avoid room 20 if you like a hot shower! I have raised a case with Guest relations, but I will not be staying here in future despite the good location and low price.
