Beautiful room on a historic building. Friendly and helpful staff. Very tasty restaurant for dinner and reasonably priced. Eggs at breakfast would be icing on the cake!

A very unique experience that we quite enjoyed. Both staying in their king, deluxe , ensuite - Beaumont room and enjoying their breakfasts and supper offerings. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were able to reserve a table for eight for a family get together, evening meal which everyone enjoyed. Parking is a bit tricky but doable. The room we chose was, or at least what we thought, right out of the "Game Of Thrones" with the kings size , canopy bed and unique decor ...

Lovely little place opposite church. Room (Hastings) very nice and good bed. Restaurant great with superb Italian food. Breakfast good and they provided gluten free bread and pastries. We will be back. Only downside is limited parking but there is public parking a 2 min walk away which was 3.50 for 24 hours

Apart from the slightly limited parking them I really can't find any fault with this place. Incase checked in quickly and upstairs found myself in a huge room complete with an open fire (sadly decommissioned). Bathroom perhaps a bit small but the bed was super comfortable. I don't have breakfast as I had to be away early but next time I'll try it.

Visited for 1 night mid week in the middle of February. On the room booking I added that we’d like to eat in the restaurant at about 6pm and that we’d require gluten free options at breakfast as my partner is coeliac. Check in was simple and as I was about to ask about dinner I was told we had a table at 6 booked for us. The room was big and has plenty of space, comfy bed and a decent tea and coffee selection is provided. Excellent dinner in the evening with plenty of gluten free options across the menu. Breakfast was where it stepped up even further. You get a standard buffet style continental breakfast with plenty of choice of pastries, cereals, fruit, meats and cheese. But on the table was an extensive selection of gluten free pastries and cereals all covered ready for us. We will be returning whenever we’re visiting the Town Hall

We stayed for one night and had dinner whilst there. Friendly service on arrival and easy check in where our reservation for that evening was confirmed as were my dietary requirements for the following morning. Room was lovely, clean and had everything you might want for a short stay. Dinner was amazing, with clearly labelled gluten free options and super service. Everything was done promptly and was very tasty. We had the continental breakfast the following morning that was included in the price. I am a coeliac and require a strict gluten free diet, this often leads to difficulty at breakfast. This was the best gluten free breakfast I have ever experienced with a range of pastries covered for my safety and separate from the gluten containing foods. A lovely end to a very nice stay.

Ticked all the boxes for me, travelling between work. Clean, everything in the room I needed & not over board. Ate elsewhere so cannot comment on the food. Peaceful nights sleep without any interruptions

Very disappointing, had to question bill on checkout, they leave stuff off and add £6 plus service charge after giving tip in evening. Huntingdon Suite roasting in Evening even with window open, toilet slides, shower very poor, and does not function properly just lack of attention, room service just needs more attention before handing out to customers, food good and tasty

We booked this B and B based on mostly excellent reviews, please take the trouble to check out reviews on all sites before booking!!!! There are many not so good ones, tucked in amongst the better ones!!! All of which say, they really don't know how this accommodation is scoring excellent!!!! I emailed ahead to obtain check in time, as this was very conflicting due to various times advertised, depending where you looked. I did get a reply and we duly arrived at the time had stated in my return email. Beware, the car park is difficult to find and it does take a couple of goes to locate it. No- one appeared to be there when we went to the front on the building, until a very helpful gentleman crossed over the road, he obviously worked there and immediately rang, told us where to go and was so polite and helpful. When the owner appeared to check us in, this situation quickly changed. He was unfriendly, gloomy and very unwelcoming. This increased when he said we had to pay the balance in a.card, even though I had already paid on full via **********. We were eventually shown to our room and advised if it could not be sorted, we would have to pay. I found the whole situation very upsetting and contacted ********** and they were fantastic and said they would ring the hotel. I finally relaxed abit. The room was very quaint, although it did have a broken blind and bin lid and the shower was awful. There was however good tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely comfy bed. The room was quiet and windows had been left open which provided a great temperature, there was also a fan in required. On waking, we.had already decided not to have the cooked breakfast @ £12.50 each and extra for more items, because I didn't want to hand my card over incase they kept it or something!!!! I also.wanted to leave,.what should have been a lovely overnight stay as quickly as possible as I certainly didn't feel very welcome there, though no fault of my own!!!! On checking out, there was a lady on reception, she was very polite and apologictic, when she then asked us to pay again and then claim the money back of **********. I ofcourse refused. I really wished I had booked a known chain of Hotel and certainly will.never book bed and breakfast accommodation again!!!! .
