Homewood Suites by Hilton Harrisburg - West (Hershey Area)

We don't checkout until tomorrow but I wanted to write this now while I'm thinking about it. We have stayed at many Homewood Suites because they are reliable. However, this one (Homewood Suites by Hilton - Harrisburg/West Hershey) deserves an award. Some of the reasons: - lots of towels; not thin & cheap; great quality - REALLY comfortable bed & pillows; nobody wanted to get out of bed, LOL - full-size frig, microwave, & dishwasher; everything looked new - very large eating area/lounge - nice extra lounge space upstairs with a pool table Big reason: I always check the toilet and bedding as soon as we get to the room on every stay. It doesn't matter if the sheets look AND smell clean. I need to pull them up and inspect the mattress cover. Many hotels have big yellow stains, and hairs all over them. The worst stains are blood stains. And yes, this is at some of the high-end hotels too. I could not find any stains at this hotel. Very rare. Also, sometimes, it's the little things that make a visit special. For example, I love that they leave the tea/coffee setup throughout the day AND you can actually get cups and napkins without having to bother the front desk staff. The one thing that I have to complain about is not having an exhaust fan in the bathroom. We were surprised by that. Great hotel, great staff, great housekeeping, great visit. We will spread the word.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and have not been disappointed. First off, I would like to thank Robin for the room upgrade. It made our stay even better. The hotel itself is quiet and in a safe spot. Kirsten was super sweet upon checkout. Definitely made the morning brighter. We had a couple of small issues, but they were taken care of. We would definitely stay here again

Huge suite. So comfortable. Lots of seating, table space, kitchen area. We loved our brief stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Very cozy. Room was clean. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good. Great suite for excellent price

Started out great. Check in was smooth and asked & was given a late check out. At 1st glance thought room was great, spacious & well appointed. We checked in late after spending day at Hersheypark so it was late when we attempted to turn on TV in bedroom. It did not turn on. Called front desk and was told in a non customer friendly tone "well there is nothing I can do about that, it's after midnight and maintenance comes in @ 8:00 am" to which I responded (that does nothing for me). Also noticed mold around bath tub and unsightly stains on sitting room ceiling.

Check in was at 3 p.m. but the room wasn’t ready until 3:30. I needed to be ready for a wedding by 5:00 p.m. When I got into the room, there were stains all over the furniture. Then I tried to use the iron but the retractable cord wasn’t working. It took over 20 minutes to get a replacement iron. I’ve stayed at Homewood Suites before and this one was disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend staying here. There are a number of nearby hotels. Check one of them out instead.

Spacious, clean and welcoming. Rooms immaculate, mattress extremely comfortable. We were welcomed with a smile and efficiency. Breakfast had plenty of offerings even fresh fruit. Would definitely stay again.

I was pleased with my stay at this hotel. The room was the closest to an actual apartment that I have experienced in an upscale suite type hotel like this one. I appreciated having a small kitchen area and a counter area that I could sit at while eating my meal. The rest of the room felt like home, as they say, which is important when you are traveling. The bedroom and bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was standard Hilton which will give you a good start in the morning. My only quibble with my stay was that my room faced the interior courtyard where the pool and other activities are located. It did get a bit loud especially in the morning. In the future, I would request a room that does not face the interior courtyard for a bit less noise. Also, if renovations are ever done, I would suggest that the hotel install some type of door to separate the bedroom from the bathroom. It didn't bother me as I was alone. However, I could see one half of a couple being bothered by the light from the bathroom if they wanted to continue sleeping.

Terry works at the desk and is the best! He is friendly, helpful and assures that you have a great stay. This hotel is by far, our family’s favorite. It surpasses all expectations for cleanliness and a great night’s sleep. The mattresses are fairly new and super comfortable. The daily breakfast is great too! If you’re visiting Hershey, it’s worth the drive to stay here.

This place is in a business park area and very quiet. It’s very clean and the staff is very welcoming. A couple of restaurants are nearby. There is a pool that closes at 10 with a large patio and furniture. Lots of safe places to walk. Breakfast bar includes a couple of hot items, oatmeal, cereal, breads, waffles, juices. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
