We have just been to the stag for a Sunday roast, what can I say ! Probably the best pub roast I've ever eaten. The portions were huge i thought i was going to be beaten by this amazing plate of food,but managed to fight my wat through. Plenty of veg ,massive yorky, generous amount of nice beef and all the other trimmings. It's a lovely place with a big garden set in a lovely part of the new forest.

Top experience. Excellent, warm service from the staff. Marvellous atmosphere and the food was divine. The vegan curry was amazing and the sharing board was huge and totally delicious. Also the house white wine was sensational. AND they serve Guinness 0!

Visited for an evening meal Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Food excellent. Had cauliflower and lentil curry which was delicious and on recommendation had the “pina colada” inspired desert. OMG amazing. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Lyndhurst

nice hotel, with car parking, good location, friendly staff, made to feel welcome, had the pie off the day , which was very tasty, plenty choice off drinks, We stay here for 2 nights. In the Brockenhurst room,which was at the top of the hotel, the room itself was clean and tidy, and the shower was nice and hot and powerful. The only fault we found with the room was that it was very hot. But there was a fan provided, the other fault it was a bit noisy from the air-conditioning unit outside the room, earplugs where provided would stay again, but not in the Brockenhurst room,

First class stay throughout, excellent service and superb staff. Lovely large room on the 2nd floor, well appointed and very clean. Breakfast in the morning was great as was the service. There is some road noise but the hotel supply ear plugs in the rooms if you need them, we slept fine in a very comfortable bed. Overall we were very impressed and would definitely recommend.

We have visited many, many times since Steve and Marie took over and it never fails to disappoint. The rooms are beautifully decorated and although they welcome you to bring your dogs, the rooms never feel like there have been dogs staying there. Everything is so clean and fresh. The beds are very comfy , the bathrooms lovely and the biscuits for your morning cup of tea or coffee are scrummy. Breakfast is sensational. Locally sourced produce which is always served with a smile from one of the amazing members of staff. Reggie looked after us on our last visit and he was just great. Friendly, helpful and loved our labs which goes for all the other staff. It is such a lovely place to stay. Outside they have a fantastic garden with a large covered patio area and other areas on the patio for the sun lovers plus a lovely grassy area with an aviary at the end. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Our experience here was very good. The staff were friendly and nice and the food was very delicious. The portions were absolutely huge! The staff were super attentive until a very large party came in and sat by us as we were finishing up our meal. It was completely understandable as there was around 20 people on the next table including children but all staff in the area were immediately enlisted to make sure their table was seen to so our plates didn’t get cleared and we weren’t offered dessert, more drinks or the bill. Not a big problem though, we realised what had happened after a little while and as we needed to go we just paid at the bar and left. Other than the very end we had a wonderful meal and all the staff we spoke to were lovely. It’s also situated in an ideal area and the menu had all the pub staples you’d expect and cooked nicely.

This is a really good pub/hotel, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home! Without exception every member of staff could not have been more friendly & professional. We had a great room, the hotel itself is in a great location for exploring the area & the parking was a real plus! A great big shout out to Jake who went out of his way to make my birthday 2 night stay a real treat!! Thank you for a great stay, we will be back.

Had a great night with all of our friends for the euros 2024 final. All of the staff were great but Ruby in particular was incredible - she made our evening! She was so friendly, helpful and attentive. Thank you! Highly recommend people going there
