Best hotel with the best entertainment team , all from tunisia. They are so friendly and helpful and can not do enough for you to enjoy your stay . Beach is beautiful . Dolphin trip and camel trip is a must . All the staff are so friendly and the hotel is well kept and clean

Be Warned!!! The hotel staff generally amazing. We are enjoying our two weeks holiday, however we been robbed on night one by the staff who delivered food to our room as we arrived after dinner time. We been out from the room and £40 went missing which we didn’t noticed until this morning when we wanted to exchange some money. Bare that in mind our room was Do Not Disturb so it couldn’t be housekeeping. We reported the issue to the hotel manager, who visibly couldn’t care less. He started to talk to other people in Arabic while we were expressing our issue. I find it very disrespectful. Then he offered if we wish to report to the police?! As me and my partner both working in hospitality we know without CCTV and lock read (the hotel only have physical keys to the room) we don’t have a chance to prove anything. It’s not even about the £40 that was stolen, but about the principle how dare anyone take anything from a purse which was in my bag which was in the wardrobe. The general manager kindly said we should have hire a safe. In my opinion it shouldn’t happened regardless. Just be careful when it comes to your belongings especially to your money that left in guest bedrooms. A La Carte service disaster: We booked a table for 13 people at the A La Carte restaurant on site. We arrived on time. We been seated. We had two waiter who had no idea of service. 11 people out of 13 had a starter and they completely forgot about two of us. When we made a comment after 15 minutes waiting when everyone finished their starter, they brought out something that not even looked alike a starter. There was some tomatoes with cheese presentation zero. I raised a concern as it was not even similar to everyone’s else starter the waiter started to argue that it is the same. I latterly stood up and I walked out from the restaurant. I am working in hospitality myself. I am one of the senior operations manager of two hotels. I would never experienced such a below expectation service and I never in my life made feel like so humiliated by the hotel staff that hired to provide a service. ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ Huge disappointment! Another night one of our family member needed eye wash as something went into his eye. There is a first aid box at reception with two antiseptic spray inside. No plaster, no bandage, nothing. No one asked if I need a first aider or is everything okay. I don’t even feel like to approach the General Manager or anyone else for this matter as the hotel general manager just ignorant, zero costumer service and he just generally doesn’t care. So it would be a waste of time and energy to even try to speak to him as he didn’t even take action regarding a previous complaint that I raised days ago. Other than that everything is absolutely fantastic ☀️☀️☀️ There are some individuals that’s are carry the entire business on their shoulders and they should be recognised. Met up with friends I met here last year again and it was like coming home. I have stayed for 10 days and I wish it was longer, the team at el Borg especially the animation team make your stay. They never fail to brighten your day, they are a credit to the hotel Highly recommend

Great experience, entertainment every evening was great and activities throughout the day. All staff are really friendly and are always looking to get you involved in activities. The pool is big and spacious and lots of seats around the pool and lots of seating on the beach too. May is off peak so not too busy and a great time to come.

This is our 5th time back to this hotel once again meeting up with friends we made here last year. It’s just like coming back home, even though some of the staff and animation have changed since the last time we were here we can’t fault them. The new animation team especially Will, Abdul, Rafa and Adam are brilliant they make you feel right at home. There is plenty to do like a walk along the beach, mini golf, aqua gym, Zumba, French boules and darts and so much more. When we were there we had a storm and we couldn’t fault the animation team, they were so good at keeping us entertained, brining all the games inside, along with the daily activities and food we normally would have outside. They always kept you informed of where things were going to be. From the reception staff to the cleaners to Samira behind the bar you guys are all gems and we will visit again for sure

5th time at El Borj in the last 2 years. Visited June and October 24, went back with friends we had met at El Borj. We had such a lovely time. The hotel and beach never disappoints. Food was excellent lots to choose from the fresh grilled fish and meat were really tasty. Hotel and bedrooms are very comfortable and spacious. The animation team were new to us and didn't disappoint. Headed by Will, Chris, Abdul, Adam, Aziz, Ghada. They were so friendly and got everyone involved, had great fun taking part in Boules, Zumba, Stretch, Aqua Gym, dancing. There is an Italian Animation team for the Italian guests who were very pleasant and you can join in their activities if you want. Just bear in mind most of them do not speak great English like the Tunisians, they are not being rude they just don't understand you!! Take a trip to Mahdia which is a pretty fishing village and has a very interesting market. Reception will order a taxi for you. There is a shop outside the hotel that has quite a few items priced up if you dont like bartering. Once again we had a fantastic stay at this hotel it's a great place to relax and the the beach is outstanding. Don't be put off by the negative reviews some people are never happy. We will be back.

After reading the reviews before our holiday ,we were a little sceptical about the hotel , but from the moment of arrival we had no problems . The reception staff were very friendly and helpful , the bell boy carried out suitcases to our room and explained how the aircon worked, and the hotel information sheet on times of meals etc. The room was a good size plenty of room for clothes ,and very clean.the maid came every day to tidy up. We cannot fault the staff , all the waiters ,cleaners and bar staff were so helpful they really looked after us. Just a small tip of 10 dinar a couple of times during the two week stay was very much appreciated. The gardens and grounds were very tidy and the gardeners worked tirelessly to keep the trees ,grass and flowers in good condition . We had a walk around the few local shops outside the hotel, no problems with being hassled to buy things , just the taxi drivers always stopping to ask if you needed a lift , but they took a simple no thank you and drove on ,we felt quite safe. Most of the shop owners spoke pretty good English. The beach was lovely white sand ,plenty of sunbeds,all with mattresses, the sea was lovely and warm ,plenty of lovely shells washing up on the beach. The first week the food was plentiful and a good variety , cooked perfectly , but the second week the choice was limited as the hotel was gearing down to close in November. The animation team were very enthusiastic and a happy bunch arranging games and theme nights for the guests, this was all because of their hard working manager Will and his partner Rada. Everyone made us feel very welcome , nothing was too much trouble. We had a very enjoyable 2 week holiday , just relaxing and enjoying the sunshine .
