Do NOT stay here! The room was adequate, the spa facilities (while very limited) were actually very good and so was the food. However the gross incompetence displayed by the staff, especially manager Wilcox, has left such a foul taste that the food may as well have been poisoned. Upon arrival a £50 holding/damages deposit was taken, with the promise that it would be returned “soon” (discouragingly vague) but could take up to 10 working days. It is now the 24th October and our stay was the 1st - 2nd, and still the money has not been returned. We had to repeatedly call and chase the matter, to find out halfway through that the staff had never actually released the funds when they said they had. It’s been an absolute nightmare trying to resolve this, to the point where we have had to involve the bank and jump through several hoops and procedures in order for the money to be returned. No one is able to take accountability over this, even after having complained officially. Until Wilcox & his entire team have been fired, this place is to be avoided at all costs. The customer service (or lack thereof) as well as total incompetence on the business end of things is shocking and embarrassing for anyone who works there.
