Villa Eyrie Resort was our home away from home for a 6-night visit to Vancouver Island. It proved to be a centrally located home base for our various trips around the island. We were very glad to be outside of Victoria (about a 30-minute drive) and surrounded by so much natural beauty. The setting is absolutely stunning and the views are magnificent (the website photos do not lie)! The location also was a good location for heading north on the island (e.g. the Cowichan Valley) and for exploring the south/southwest coast city of Sooke and the wilderness beaches. Our party of five included two couples and one single. We had three rooms: the Junior Penthouse Suite in Villa Cielo and two rooms with views in Villa Principale. All of us were more than pleased with our accommodations. We also took advantage of the first floor, common spaces at Villa Cielo to play games/cards and drink wine in the evenings with our entire party together. The resort offered complementary shuttle service from the Principale building to Villa Cielo, as the road between is steep and winding. Several of us also enjoyed the Tuscan Spa during our stay. Services booked included a gentleman’s facial, a relaxation massage, and the Tuscan Signature Massage. We were all very pleased with our services. The spa is lovely, though small with only a couple of treatment rooms. They could not accommodate all three of us at the same appointment time due to space constraints. Still, it is a lovely, tranquil space that instantly invites relaxation to wash over you. We recommend Villa Eyrie Resort if you want a place out of Victoria and surrounded by natural beauty!
