It has four stars and costs like a four star hotel but service, reception, room (and beach) are not four star quality. I will start with the positives: Breakfast staff was kind and food was nice. The tall pine trees are beautiful. The entrance hall is nice. But: Room has worn out furniture, mattress larger than bed (kept slipping), mattress cover was ripped ( which I learned because bed was not made properly and had to remake myself at 1 am), bottom sheet stained, lock broken (see photo). There is no night light, only two big lights above the bed, which are too bright to be used at night. No socket to plug phone by my side of the bed. When the day after the topic came up with staff, we were told that we were wrong because we should have spoken the night before (a 4 star hotel doesn’t know that you don’t give ripped sheets, mattress should match bed, provide night lights..?!). Moreover: for part of the day the entire reception was left to a young clueless boy without the skills for the job, which resulted in poor service; not the boy’s fault of course, poor thing he did his best! It’s bad management. Beach experience was low quality (I.e. towels were given back mid day following staff instructions, but evening staff didn’t give us towels for a swim due to a one-towel allowance that previous staff had not explained to us; to use shower and toilet there’s a key system which must be sorted at hotel, but hotel is a walk away from the beach and didn’t provide us with the explanation).
