We stayed at this hotel because I had a business meeting nearby. It was recommended by the meeting organizers. There are not many choices in the area. First a few ok things. The room and bathroom were both large. It had been remodeled in the past few years so it was in good condition. The bed was ok. The restaurant overall was OK. The staff tried to be helpful. Now to the other stuff. I am older and my mobility is less than optimal, though I'm not really impaired. I was dismayed to find there was no elevator! I didn't think to check - I learned a lesson there. Like the other hotels I've stayed at in Slovakia, it had a big, deep bathtub with a shower wand. And this one didn't even have a grab bar. The bed was a low platform bed, so getting up from it was another challenge. There were also some service challenges. One of the lamps was not plugged in. The little frig was not plugged in and the cord was behind a very heavy chest of drawers. We had to get the front desk to send someone to fish out the cord. Nine of us had dinner there one night. Overall, the food was good and plentiful, but not something you would drive far for. They forgot to put in the order for two of us and we had to ask again and then wait quite a while. Special mention goes to the "orange juice" at breakfast, which resembled orange juice in that it was indeed orange. Otherwise, there was no similarity to real orange juice. It resembled watered-down kool-aid. Overall, I think the picture I posted of the wilted roses at our table the first day sums up the visit rather well.
