There was an ant invasion in our room, they were everywhere no matter what we did. The bathroom window didn't close. The toilet seat was broken. The hotel had potential, it was otherwise clean and they had AC. The location was bad and the staff didn't speak to us much. We didn't get any information about anyhing (for example breakfast). There was a pool but it looked like no one took care of it. Also there were only two sunbeds. We have been in Sri Lanka for three weeks and in every other hotel our adapters for charging phones were the right type, but this hotel was using some other type of plug in. We asked if we could get suitable adapter for our room and they gave us one which was not compatible at all. The only way to charge your phone was at the lobby, where were a lot of others too. When we checked out, the hotel arranged us a tuktuk to Unawatuna and when we asked about the price, the driver tried to charge us three times the price. We couldn't get an agreement and the hotel employees didn't help at all. We decided to get another tuktuk so we left with our heavy bags. It is 10 euros/night per person so it was cheap but all in all the whole experience was afwul.
