My weekend stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton near the Kansas City Airport left me with a mixed bag of impressions. Here's a detailed breakdown of my experience. Pros: The property gives off a fresh vibe, seemingly new, which is always a plus. It makes the first impression quite welcoming. The lobby is well-designed and inviting, a nice space to step into upon arrival. Cons: The check-in process was underwhelming, lacking in warmth or efficiency. There was also a noticeable absence of information regarding the hotel's amenities and services, which felt unwelcoming. While the room initially appeared appealing, its charm was dimmed by the inadequate lighting, making the ambiance rather dull. The bathroom was equipped with fillable shower gel canisters that were nearly empty - a small detail that speaks volumes about the attention to guest comfort. The pillows provided were disappointingly lifeless, significantly detracting from a good night's sleep. The kitchenette included a dishwasher, which could have been a convenient feature, except for the absence of dishwasher pods. An office chair that was present for use had non-functioning hydraulics, rendering it practically unusable and adding to the list of overlooked details. It was a letdown to find the paper towel roll in the kitchen area already three-quarters used up, a minor but telling oversight. The size of the TV felt disproportionate to the room, making viewing less enjoyable than expected. In summary, while Home2 Suites by Hilton near Kansas City Airport boasts a fresh appearance and a welcoming lobby, several aspects of the stay were disappointing. The lack of attention to detail in room amenities and the overall guest experience detracted from what could have been a thoroughly enjoyable stay. It's my hope that this feedback will be seen as constructive, leading to improvements that align the property's offerings more closely with the high standards associated with the Hilton brand.
